Hawk rushed through the forest worryingly. Sky followed him, not going as fast as he did, but concerned nonetheless.
"Are you sure it was Domino?" Sky asked, snapping a twig in half with her front paw.

"Either way, I just feel a connection," Said Hawk as he stepped onto a rock. "I feel like that wolf must be protected."
"Ha! You said WOLF! Domino was a fox." Sky shouted, her words slightly echoing.

Hawk pulled his ears down and let out a blatant "Fuck." And to his surprise, Sky laughed and said it was fine to swear due to them being in the forest.

Hawk hopped off the pile of rocks they were standing on and began to walk forward without Sky. "I say we continue on until we've found the kid."

As Hawk stepped further into the forest, he saw a silhouette far away.

"Sky! He's there! Come on!" Hawk said, rushing off before Sky could reply.

Hawk stopped as soon as the noise of his paws crunching on the grass caused the silhouette to step into the light.
It was none other than the boy he had been looking for.

The wolf sniffled. "Hello?" He said. He sounded incredibly sad.

"Hi." Hawk tried to sound comforting. "I kinda came here looking for you after I saved you from your... Dad, I think." The wolf nodded and Hawk continued. "I'm Hawk. I live in the mountains near here."

The wolf smiled and turned to Hawk, wiping the tears from his eyes with his paw. "I'm Jay Wing. I live in a small hut by the high school here, though I don't really enjoy it much there."

Hawk stood up. "Sorry if it's too much to ask, but could you explain why? I can walk you to my house."
The wolf stood up too and he smiled wide. "Sure! I've never really had anyone to talk to about my issues, so I'm sorry if I come off as confusing."
Hawk shook his head. "No no, it's okay." He began walking back, only then realizing Sky was not with him. "Oh. My sister was following me, but she isn't here yet."

"Sky! You there?" Hawk called to the rest of the forest, getting an echoed "Yes!" from somewhere ahead. "Okay!" Hawk shouted. "We'll be there in a moment!"

Hawk and Jay Wing began walking ahead. "So, tell me about your home," Hawk said, looking up at the sky.
Jay Wing sighed. "Well, my dad, Swift Strike, he's not the best. He smokes, is never at home, treats my mother like.. Pardon me here, shit... And he hits me with that bat sometimes. It isn't frequent though."
"As for my mother, she doesn't feed me usually and keeps me in my closet instead of my main room. It's not as bad at Swift Strike but it still isn't fun."

"That fucking blows," Hawk said blankly, still looking up at the sky. His eyes darted to the grass and Jay Wing spoke up. "Can you tell me what it's like to live in the mountains? I don't want to talk about my home anymore."

"Well, I originally lived in the woods, but my father moved us to the mountains after a woman there birthed his child. Now I live there with my sister, and a she-cat named Holly Scar, and my half-sister Gwen, and half-brother Moon Storm, and a loooot more. I don't like it there, though."

Hawk looked down at the ground. "That sounds fun. More fun than school, anyway." Jay Wing said, trying to comfort Hawk.
"Yeah. I guess so." Hawk muttered. "Anyway, we're almost to Sky."
