A chance

Emily's POV:
I walked to school with spring in my step my bruises though covered but still hurting. Though none of that mattered to me as I was going to the ham for ham event after school and they were also giving out 2 free tickets but I won't win one.
I was also excited about my extra heavy bag, I'd finally decided to run away from my awful 'family'...

School went by fast and as I exited the building I skipped to the Richard Rodgers theatre I got there a little earlier than most so I right at the front.
The rain began to pour but that didn't stop the event it was wonderful and I won one of the tickets to see Hamilton! I was most certainly excited the rain was refreshing and didn't at all dampen my day until...

I realised I hadn't used waterproof makeup I quickly looked at my arms the bruises were clear to see as I walked on stage to accept my ticket, I just smiled and hoped no one noticed but I could see in Lins' eyes that he had noticed so as soon as the event ended I sipped into the middle of the crowd and made my not so great escape.

Lins POV:
1 of the 2 who won a ticket today I think her name was Emily she was awful small she must be 10 she was full of bruises covering her frail arms as the event ended I quickly looked for her I needed to speak to her but she was gone she'd vanished I felt a pang in my stomach, then I realised she'd won the ticket she'd most certainly be back to see the show she seemed like an avid fan, but the ticket she'd won was for a show in 3 days I hoped she could survive whatever torment she was going through until then she had to stay alive.

Emily's POV:
I lay down in an ally way about 30 mins away from the theatre covered by only a thin blanket but that didn't matter I was free from my family now and I'm only 3 days I would get to see Hamilton LIVE!! It was going to be amazing I was certain of it but in order to go during the next few days, I had to stay
alive...

Lins POV:
"Vanessa can we talk" I ask my wife nervously, she gives me a warm smile and nods. "There was a young girl today she won the ticket lottery but I noticed she was full of bruises and she looked so tired and hungry I was wondering.." Vanessa cut me off "yes we can and will try to adopt her we've got to save her" I hugged my wife she was so understanding and now if we could find a way to adopt the girl then Sebastian would have a big sister to watch chugging on with, I could already imagine them playing together and her being a great big sister, I was sure she would be. Only 3 days until I could hope to see her again.

Emily's POV:
A packed my thin blanket into my bag and put on my back today was the day I would see Hamilton! I skipped to the theatre getting there early as I was afraid to be late. I waited outside eagerly for the doors to open I may have been a bit too early...
That's when I noticed there was another girl near me who also seemed to be waiting for the doors to open I slowly made my over to her as she seemed nervous that's when I realised she was the other ticket winner.

"Hi, my names Emily I'm 14" I had my hand out to her she seemed flustered as she shook it, she spoke softly her voice kind of wavy "h-hi my names 14 I'm Sophia" she immediately realised her mistake and went bright red. I giggled " nice to meet you 14, " I said in cheekily but the friendly way she smiled and giggled with me until we were both in fits of laughter until the doors to the theatre opened and we walked inside.

She walked straight to the concession stand, now it was my turn to be embarrassed I had no money. She turned to me and softly whispered "did you forget you money" I whispered back "yeah something like that" that's when she shyly asked to vender for "2 bottles of Fanta a big box of popcorn" (I know it's not a cinema and I know your probably not allowed to eat there but just shhhhhhhhhhhh let it happen) "oh and also 2 playbills please" she quickly added as she took £30 out of her little purse. We thanked the vendor and then went to sit in our seats since we'd both won the lottery we were sat next to each other near the front.

Lins POV:
The girl with bruises turned up though this time she looked even more tired I looked through the curtains to see her already sat down with the other lottery winner they were 30 minutes early but everything seemed in order for now so I headed to the dressing room to change that's when I heard a young girl shouting for help I ran to the seating area as fast as I could...

Sophia's POV:

Emily and I were just talking when all of a sudden she complained about feeling dehydrated and dizzy I told her to drink but before she could she passed out. Of course, I screamed for help that's when Lin came out half dressed in his costume and half in his regular attire. He took Emily backstage and told me to follow he lay her on a sofa and asked me to watch her while he gets changed and made sure everyone else was he said especially Jonathan Groff though he called him groffsauce. As he ran off I sat down on a chair next to Emily, I was very worried about her I hoped she'd wake up soon. But then someone shouted, "hey what are you doing back here?!"
