First day of school.

Emily's POV:
Lin woke me up early singing out of pitch "ITS EMILYS TIME TO GET HER BUTT OUT OF BED AND GOOOOOOOO TO SCHOOOOOOOL OOOOOHHHHH YEAHHHH TODAY RIGHT NOW EMILY NEEDS TO WAKE UPPPPPPP BEFORE I DRAG HER OUT OF BEDDDddddddddddd" I groan and get out of bed. I put on a cold shoulder top (meaning my the shoulders are cut out) but then I look in the mirror and remember my scar. Lin opens the door to check I'm awake and he sees the scar. "Emily what's this?" He asks. "It was carved into my arm when I was a baby, I'd forgotten about it since I got here I need to change my shirt" I looked down Lin hugged me and kissed my forehead "ok be quick changing though niñta I have to drive you soon" he says walking out and closing the door.i sigh and quickly change into my pastel yellow a.ham top and some black jeans.

I grab my stuff and run into the kitchen "I'm ready to go" I shout and me and Lin run out the door as we do he hands me a flask of coffee.

We make it to Lauren's highschool just in time and I run into the office. "Hey this is my first year here but I'm in year 9"(this is in British years but shut up)
"Oh ok sweetie fill in this form and pick your electives please" the women at the desk told me. I sighed the form then looked at the electives, I was only able to pick 3.

I decided to choose American history,musical theatre and dance. I knew Lin would be happy I chose musical theatre he was always insisting I take musical theatre classes as he says I'm good at it.

I hand my forms into the lady and she hands me a timetable "since you've been here filling out your forms and whatnot it's already period 2" she tells me and I walk off to find my American history class. It was easier said then done I spent half of the 2nd period walking around the school until I FINALLY found my American history class.

I knocked on and the teacher opened the door "ah you must be the girl who's just joined our school excellent come in come in" he leads me in and stands me at the front of the class, there's a few moments of silence "well introduce yourself then" the teacher told me. "Oh um I'm Emily, I like musicals and other stuff I guess" I remind myself of Sophia in those few moments and I look down she doesn't remember me it'd only been a month how could she forget me? I feel a couple tears running down my face then I realise everyone's staring. I sit at a desk at the back with another girl she had light blonde hair.

"Hey are you ok?" She asks me with what seemed like genuine concern. "Oh yeah I just remembered my old friend while I was up there, you see she left around a month ago it's been hard she was my only friend" I tell the mysterious blonde girl. She hugs me "I'm so sorry. If you wanna be friends with me I wouldn't mind" she says going red "sure what's your name" I ask her. "It's Elizabeth but I prefer Eliza, it's kinda silly but there's this musical called Hamilton and one of the characters is called Eliza" she says and I laugh "I love Hamilton so does my  foster dad" I tell her trying not to spill the beans about Lin I wanted to surprise her. "Really?" She asks "yeah you should come mine after school is just have to ask my da- foster dad" I say she smiles "sure I'd love to if I'm allowed" she replies.

I quickly text Lin 'dadddddddd can I please bring a new friend to the theatre after school she loves Hamilton but she doesn't know your my dad and I really wanna surprise her pleaseeeee rally the cast and we'll prank her or something' he replies within a second 'sure she can and you called me dadddddd!'
I read my text back shit I did I quickly reply 'thanks Lin sorry is you didn't want me to call you dad'
'Sweetie I've been waiting for it foreverrrrrrr now get back to learning'
I laugh and put my phone away "he said yeah but we'll have to walk" she's smiles "that's fine" the bell rings for break time and we walk out of class together. "What've you got after break?" She asks me "oh uh I've got musical theatre in theatre room 2" I sat reading my timetable. "Oh me too wanna walk to it together?" Eliza asks me "yeah sure!"

Eliza and I started walking to the theatre and when we arrived I stopped. "What are we doing at the Richard Rodgers?" She asks me and I just signal her to a side door and we 'sneak' in. "Emily I don't think we she be here" she says and right on cue Lin walks in "WHY ARE YOU TWO TRESPASSING IN MY THEATRE ILL HAVE TO CALL THE POLICE" he bellows Eliza looks frightened to death. Me and Lin burst into laughter "Eliza meet my father" I say pointing to Lin she looks confused at first then it clicks "ohhhhhh omg your dad is lin Manuel Miranda- wait omg I'm standing in the same room as Lin Manuel miranda!!!!" She exclaims

She meets all the cast and we all hang out until the show starts. I feel bad it felt like I was replacing Sophia but I knew I'd never replace her and I was bound to make new friends at some point.

I have a spin of book called ~LOST~ it's basically about how Sophias doing in the world of orphanages and foster families so head over to that book and remember she's been gone a month in this book but I'm her book it starts from when she gets off the bus!
