M I A

"Julia! Hey," I greeted with a smile when I saw Julia walking through the crowded halls. She turned around and saw me walking towards her.

"Good morning! Sleep well?" she asked me with a smile of her own.

"Sure..." I mumbled with a sigh. I didn't sleep at all.

As much as it sounds weird, last night I spent hours thinking about Sebastian. How he seemed calm and nice talking to me earlier, while at dinner every time we locked sight, he sent me a cold glare.

His friends sent me a lot of glares too, and eye rolls.

Julia kept telling me to let it go but it was actually really hard to do when they were seated in front of us. She also mentioned that they're probably going to haunt me until I die, so yeah. She just made me more relieved!

And from the thought of Sebastian, I went to think about how his friends tried to hurt me. They think they have too much power and that they can do whatever they what. Well, not with me.

I've wondered if they ever successfully got to a girl before...

And so the night continued, I thought about the academy and what it offers to me, about Charlotte and the accident...

Little to say, I didn't get sleep at all.

"Too well," she commented with a goofy face. Julia on the other hand, looked like she had a good night. She was smiling a lot.

"No, actually i-"

"I'm being sarcastic," she implied, shaking her head.

Pfft! I knew that...

We walked for a minute through the crowd with strange people sending me glances. I thought people would be over the fact that I'm new here, but I guessed it was going to take more than two days. Luckily this time, I wasn't going through it by myself.

Me and Julia kept on dodging every stare and I only knew we were going to her locker when we stopped in front of it.

I leaned on the locker beside her and let my thoughts consume my mind uncontrollably again. This place is just too suspicious about everything...

"What's on your mind?" Julia asked me while taking out a book. She glanced at me with the corner of her eyes while I shook my head back to reality.

If there was a way to find answers, Julia would be it.

"Well, I just want to know more about the... boys." I started while fidgeting with my fingers.

She furrowed her eyebrows, suspicious. "Why?"

"I'm just curious." I shrugged, even though it was an obvious lie.

She was too smart to believe it. Instead, she shut her locker close and folded her arms. "Did something else happen?"
