M I A

Beep beep beep.

I cursed under my breath again for the hundredth time today before I moved the device from my ear. I glared at the small screen only to see the line had disconnected. Again.

Stupid useless phone! What's the point of giving me a phone if it doesn't work?!

Giving up with frustration, I threw the phone on the nightstand and jumped on my bed feeling a bit exhausted.

I came back to my dorm about half an hour ago, I took a quick body rinse because I was too sweaty for my liking. After that, I got lonely with myself and that's when I remembered the phone.

I wanted to call the only number it had. But apparently, the number didn't want me to call it. So here I am, staring at the ceiling listening to nothing but the sound of my breathing in this dead silenced room.

Well, until someone decided to try and bang the door open.

I jumped on my bed startled, feeling my heart pounding out of my chest. Who could come to me at this time?

Alarmed, I looked at the door as someone on the other side continues to knock like their life depends on it. Yet, I stayed put on my bed cautiously until I hear my name.

"Mia!" A familiar loud voice called from the outside after a while. "Open the damn door, now!"

When I recognized it belonged to no-one but Julia, I huffed before I got up from my bed to open it.

"What the hell? You tryna scare the shit out of me?!" I snapped when I slid the door open and met with a panting Julia.

"Thank god you're still awake." she ignored me breathing heavily while clutching into the door frame.

"Yeah! So is everyone on this floor after you almost broke down my door!"

Once she calmed down, she stood straight and rolled her eyes at me. "Trust me, no one is going to sleep now."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "It's past eleven."

"Yeah, but tomorrow is Saturday," she stated obviously.

She then moved me aside and entered my room. I had no choice but to close the door and turn around to look at her. Maybe she wants to sleep over again.

"But actually," she started with a big smirk plastered on her face. "Aside from the terrible, terrible game, they're throwing a party to celebrate."

The reason Julia claims the game to be terrible is that she didn't get to throw chairs because we didn't lose...

I raised my eyebrows in surprise. "Who?!"
