"Sebastian?"
I got out from beneath the table where he told me to hide and wait. But when I went to search for him, I saw two unconscious guards laying on the floor like dead bodies. My eyes widened, seeing the blood that was everywhere. "Are they dead?" I asked with a shaking voice, looking up at Sebastian. Yet that was when I caught bruises forming and cuts bleeding on his face as well.
"Oh my God," I gasped, running towards him.
He was panting heavily and holding his side. "No…" he breathed out as he leans on a counter. I could tell that he was in great pain but he tried to mask it all and give me a weary smile. My heart ached. I didn't wish for this.
"This was not part of the plan, Sebastian!" I told him angrily, though he kept carrying the same face.
"You thought I was going to knock out the guards without getting hit back?" he raised his eyebrows teasingly, causing me to roll his eyes.
"Now is not the time for jokes!"
"You're right, I'm sorry." he chuckled only to hiss with discomfort right after.
