"Let's run away," he told me with sudden excitement in his eyes. Meanwhile, I blinked twice.

"W-What?" I asked, making sure that I'm not hearing weird stuff.

I knew exactly what he said, although I needed to hear him say it again for an unknown reason. And as I anticipated, he spat it out without hesitation.

"Let's run away together!" he repeated, shifting his body to face me directly. "We can get out of here."

The second time I heard it, my eyebrows rose with surprise. No words could describe the emotions that I felt at this moment. I was just simply stunned as to why he came up with this idea or why he chose me. "Seriously?" was the only thing that escaped my mouth.

He nodded. "Yes! We can leave right now."

"Right now?! Wha-What about our stuff?"

He shook his head. "We only need to pack some clothes."

Some clothes?! I think we need a lot more than just some clothes.

"What about money? Food? Shelter? And other things that we need?" I asked, confused as to why he's not thinking bigger. "Where would we even go?"

"Don't worry about it." he waved. " I know someone here in town that could help us. All we have to do is get out and he'll take care of the rest."

"Yeah, but what if we get caught?"

"I can get Luke and Joshua to create a big distraction. Enough to let the guards down. But I can assure you, we can get out without even trying. Well, maybe a little."

I stared at him with a crowded mind, trying to figure him out only to fail for the hundredth time. So, I finally gave up.

I let out a sigh. "Um, then how come no one ever escaped?"

"Probably because they never found or tried finding the way out." he simply shrugged.

I nodded. "And what is the way out exactly?"

"Well, everyone knows that the face of the academy is this whole yard." he pointed out with his arms at the garden underneath us. "But what they don't know is the back of it, is the highway."

Before I could look at him funny, he stood up and asked for my hand. Curiously, I quickly accepted it before he helped me get up. And when I did, we walked all over to the other side of the roof, only for me to see a real empty highway with only tall streetlamps giving it recognition.
