So, we've now left Blood Moon Falls, and have stopped at the town's local cemetery. Gerard wanted to hunt for both Jennifer and Shayla's grave.
"Did we really have to do this at night?" I stand in the entrance, holding my phone as a flashlight.
"We have to put these ghosts down before they hurt anyone else." Gerard says, marching on through the dark cemetery.
"I'm scared, Katy."Selena walks beside me, twitching slightly. Liz catches up to Gerard, using her flames as a flashlight.
"It'll be okay." I hug her into me, and accidentally trip over something jutting out of the ground. I hit the ground hard, landing on dirt and what-not. I shine my phone down and let out a blood-curdling scream.
"What happened? Are you alright?" Gerard asks, shining his flashlight down on Selena and I, who are pushed up against the wall.
"It's a grave, dumbass. To be exact, Jennifer's grave." Elizabeth hands me a shovel, and I start digging up the bones.
"Are we burning her bones?" Selena asks, still digging.
"We have to. Once something dies, it must stay dead." Gerard jumps down into the large grave, and opens the casket. Jennifer's flesh has rotted away, and what's left is really disappointing..
"You thought it'd be more gruesome." Elizabeth says, fondling the chain around her neck.
The skeleton's hand reaches up and grabs me by the waist, dragging me into the dirt. "Look what you did to me, Esmeralda!" Jennifer's soulless eyes stare at me, her nails digging into my skin as I struggle to pull away.
"Jennifer, stop! Look at me! We came this far, and I understand you're dead, but I can make this more peaceful for you."
"Bring me back to life, please." She whimpers.
"I'm sorry." I drop a newly-lit match into her coffin and stand back, watching the bright flames dance.
"That was brave of you, Katy. Now to get out of here." Gerard says opening the gate.
Bright lights cloud our vision as we exit the graveyard. "What do you kids think you're doing here? It's two in the morning."
