I walked through the crowd and found myself severely slowing down. People I'd never even met were approaching me to say happy birthday and to chit-chat. I graciously thanked them all,  but regretfully had to hurry. I didn't want Tristan sending a search party especially when I was on the toilet.

I was walking down an empty hall when I realized I had no idea where the bathroom was.

A man abruptly appeared in front of me. I gasped in surprise and immediately stopped so I wouldn't crash into him.

He towered over me in stature. He wore all black and had a wolfish grin. But what really caught me off guard were his eyes.  They glowed bright orange from beneath his mask. It must be an illusion of sorts.

"Pardon me," He apologized, looking directly to the left of my head.

"No, that was my mistake. I wasn't watching where I was going."

I suddenly grew anxious. He seemed perfectly harmless, but every fiber in my body told me to get away.

"I'm Adrianius, but you can call me Adrian. What's your name?"

I was confused at his question. Did he not recognize his pack's future Luna of his pack? Or maybe he wasn't part of this pack?

"I-I'm Katy, and I was just looking for the restroom."

"Ah, yes, Katy." He murmurs as if suddenly recognizing me. "Bathroom is down the left coorider to your right." I thanked him and began walking away.

I hurriedly shut the bathroom door and my heart was pounding. Something about that man wasn't right. My skin crawled and I quickly used the restroom. I glanced at the clock and was shocked to see it was already ten o'clock. My needing period would be starting soon. I needed to find Lauren soon and fast.

The cooriders seemed to sway beneath my feet. My breath was ragged and I broke out into a cold sweat. I didn't feel hot, though. Not yet.

Walking as quickly as I could, I entered the ballroom. I saw Tristan from afar, his gaze scanning the crowd as he occasionally looked down at his watch, a scowl on his face.

I was about to go back to him when a wave of heat slowly enveloped me. The heat pressed fervently between my legs, more than the rest of me.

The needing period had begun.

I saw the males around me stiffen slightly.

My heart began to pound in panic and I realized I could no longer see Tristan, and had no idea where Lauren was.

I pushed my way through the crowd trying to ignore the predatory gazes, I received from some of the males as I went past. Suddenly, a large hand grabbed my wrist. I turned around and got ready to claw their eyes out. It was Liam, our little gay wolf.

His eyes weren't clouded with lust, but with urgency.

"Katy, I need you to listen very carefully. Your needing period has begun, and we need to get you out of here right now."

"Liam, no. I'm not going with you. What are you doing?" I gasped.

"Do you feel that?" He snaps.

"Feel what? Let go of me now!" I stopped.

He had no evidence of being aroused. Not in the slightest.
