Chapter 25

"I will be pairing you up with partners to complete this obstacle course. First, you'll scale up the 6ft wall, and slide down the other side. Second, is the rope swing. And third, is the water jump. The rest are very different, and are modified to your abilities."

"Sounds fun." Blake chimes in.

"Pairs are; Elizabeth and Selena, Blake and Gerard, and Tristan and Katy. Everyone line up. And go!" Tristan blasts ahead, scaling up the wall. I struggle to grasp the first block, and carefully scale it, jumping down.

Elizabeth appears and jumps down with Selena at her heels. Tristan waits for me at the water jump and grabs my hand, sending us both across. "You okay?" He pants, looking into my deep, blue eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine." My wolf smiles on the inside.

Gerard and Blake finish first, then us, and finally Selena and Elizabeth. "We're done for the day. You six may head back to your rooms. Katy, stay here." Everyone leaves, but me. He walks over towards me, biting his lip.

"Tristan," I begin. "You're my mate."

"I know, but how is this possible?"

"Are you rejecting me?

" I could never. You've been so strong through everything. You're very rare, and I can't believe the Moon Goddess gave you to me."

"Great," I sigh, as Tristan envelops me in a hug, his lips brushing mine. Then, his lips collide with mine, biting my lip, and asking for entrance.

"Ahem," Derek stands in the doorway, his hands clasped together. "May I ask why you're making out with her?"

"She's my mate." Tristan defends me.

"Not again. Remember the last time you said that? Something unfortunate happened to her the next day." He rubs his hands together, and grins wickedly.

"Not her. She's much stronger." He holds me in his arms, my hand resting on his shoulder.

"Fight me, then. Show me you're stronger." Derek takes a fighting stance and I copy him. I throw a punch towards his jaw, and he flips my wrist around. He squarely lands a fist to my stomach and I double over in pain, blood dribbling from my mouth onto my new shirt. My beast takes charge, and goes for the least expected place to hit;his rib cage. He sinks to his knees, clutching his middle.

"She's definitely stronger than you." Tristan wraps an arm around my shoulders.

"We should go. I'm hungry." He chuckles as my stomach growls.

"You're always hungry."

"Shut up. Food is the way to my heart."

"Lauren wanted me to ask you something."

"Fire away."

"When do you turn 18?" His face turns into that of displeasure.
