Kenya's POV
I sat across from Hide with a pure black coffee in my hands.
He sipped his coffee, I remained quiet.
This is what I've been wanting to know.
The years that I missed, I can at least know a small portion of Kaneki.
"He is a bookworm. Loves to read, day and night." Hide broke the silence.
"I remember that we'd go out to play by the park and he'd bring a book. Sometimes we'd read together, but what we mostly did was tell jokes and talk about a random topic."
A bookworm.
"D-did he study hard?" I ask.
"Always, sometimes I'd copy because I would sleep through the entire day and not even do my homework." He lightly chuckled. I gave a small laugh at his comment.
"That's good to know." I say.
"About copying? No, I don't copy anymore because I learned to be responsible, especially when it comes to the university." I laughed once more and shook my head.
"No, about Kaneki working hard in school. But it's great that you don't copy anymore." Hide laughed at my words.
It's good to laugh with friends and have a fun time.
"What did he like to wear mostly? Did he dress up as a businessman when he was younger? What are his habits? What did he want to study in Kamii Univeristy? Why dies he wear black and white?" I eagerly ask.
"Woah slow down." Hide laughs.
I can't help it, I'm eager to know about my brother.
I take a sip from my coffee and savor it's pure bitter yet delicious taste. My coffee, so tasty.
What would I do without coffee?
"Kaneki did wear a lot of black and white. I'm not sure why, maybe he's a fond of those colors." Hide began to respond to my questions.
"He dressed up with a plain white shirt that would be tucked in his black or grey pants, sometimes he's wear a vest just for comfort. It was usually formal wear that Kaneki wore. I believe his dressed like this to seem mature, but honestly he looked like a small moron."
Moron, I really don't imagine Kaneki being a moron.
"He sometimes was a moron, that he would as me for help. Me. I may not be intelligent, but I'm not dumb either." I gave a small smile to Hide.
"Kankei studied in the department of literature. As I mentioned before, he did love to read. He decided to study literature for that reason." Hide said.
Wow! Literature, that's amazing.
"Good ol' Kaneki." Hide said.
We both laughed at continued to drink our coffee.
Sometimes I wish that I can drink other flavored coffee, like caramel or mocha. Yet I can't because I'm a ghoul, well half ghoul.
"A habit that Kaneki has is that when he's lying or hiding something, he touches his chin with his left hand." Hide said.
Touches his chin with is left hand?
This seems familiar, but I don't remember when this happened.
"I remember that Kaneki did this when it was my birthday. He was throwing a surprise party with my parents so he had to keep a secret. When my birthday was coming up, Kaneki constantly touched his chin with his left hand. I thought it was normal, but later on Kaneki explained to me that he did tis when hiding something."
