Kenya's POV
"And this is the algebraic method of finding X and Y with 2 polynomials." Touka explained to me the math lecture. Even thought I'm recovering from the damages I still want to stay on track for my education.
"And I make this delicious bento box is has fried and bakes chicken breast with a coat of bread crumbs and cheese as the stuffing, fried rice with eggs, some fruit, with this adorable juice box."
My eyes widened as I stared at all the food. I wish I could devour it, but my tastebuds just won't let me enjoy a regular meal. "Thank Yoriko, but I'm not hungry right now I'll save it for later if it's ok with you." I stated, I really wanted to eat it.
"No rush Kenya, you eat when you want to eat." Yoriko smiles at me as I nodded. "Thanks." When was the last time I ate a proper meal?
A meal that wasn't made of a person or blood. A meal that had real food like beef or chicken, rice or sushi, maybe just maybe an apple or a nice sweet strawberry.
"I think that's enough of studying, we'll be heading home Kenya." Touka bagged her notes and books. "Let's hang out this weekend." Yoriko suggested. "Sure but are movies and snacks ok I still can't go outside yet." I said. "That's ok with me as long as my 2 bestfriends are ok, I'm ok." Yoriko and Touka gave me a hug as I thanked them.
I never had this much support from anyone. It's a nice warm feeling to have.
They said their goodbyes to me and left supporting notes on my fridge.
I'm so tired, I feel like I'm weak.
And the bento box, it looked so delicious. Sometimes I wish I was human again. I wanna enjoy the food and fun times you go outside without having to worry about CCG or any law enforcement. I don't wanna live in fear and hiding, I wanna have a normal life.
Knock.....knock...
Did Touka or Yoriko forget something?
I slowly stood up and walked to the door.
"Hello? Is anyone home?" That voice. I haven't heard that voice in a while.
I opened the door and saw the orange haired college student. "Hide?" I spoke in surprise. "Kenya!" He embraces me in a tight hug. "M-my ribs." I spoke in a little pain. "I'm so sorry, sit down. I'll close the door and get you some water."
I laughed a little as Hide kept apologizing for the sudden pain he caused from the hug.
"I heard what happened and I'm sorry I didn't visit you sooner. Finals came up and I was so focused on school. And-and I really am sorry." He apologized and bowed his head.
"It's ok Hide, you were busy plus I was sleeping most of the time so I wouldn't be awake."
"I understand but I should've made time to visit you. Kaneki would want me to. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.......I'm sorry." Hide bowed in respect and asked for forgiveness.
"Hide I forgive you, but you're here now so let's watch some movies or play some board games."
Hide made some black coffee for me. Very bitter to the normal tongue but to my ghoul tongue, it's very delicious. "You and Kaneki sure do love your coffee." Hide commented as I nodded. "Yes it's delicious!!! I'm sure you like some type of coffee too!" Hide's coffee is a little more flavorless than Mr. Yoshimura's coffee, but it's still yummy.
Hide changed the channel on the TV and put some comedy shows. I love the Korean and Thai comedy/romance shows. The ones from here in Tokyo are also great as well! The American/Latin shows are also exciting to watch. Yes I'm a fan of all romance/comedy drama it's good stories and a great plot!
