Chapter 9

Nancy had to be crazy if she thought I was being friends with this Lunatic. Cade has been glued to me this whole week but acts like a total dick towards me.

"I can walk the halls by myself" I said out load.

"You walk like a new born baby cow. " Cade shot back. I rolled my eyes at his comment. Straightening my posture. I heard him chuckle. Cade made me avoid Ren as much as I could but I would be lying if I said I didnt miss ren and the others. Cades pack was probably just as confused, wondering why I was Cades Carry on.

"Does she really need to be here? Isnt she besties with the Pale faces" Lydia scoffed.

"Get use to her." Cade leaned back on the bench. I stood awkwardly next to him. Cade wasnt the best gentlemen. I looked past ryan and saw liz waving her hand. Getting me to come over. I had an urge to go over.

"Im going to the bathroom." I said. Cade was about to get up. "I dont need help, thanks"He shrugged a bit and sat back. I grabbed my bag and went to the bathroom. Liz hugged me.

"I missed you. Its like those dogs have you chained to them." Liz joked.

"You could say that. How are you guys?" I asked. She shrugged.

"Not gonna lie. Ren is probably the most upset. Hes in the library. Wanna go see him?" She asked. I looked back at the door. What happens if Cade found out.

"You known what. Sure. Lets go." She smiled, grabbing my hand and we walked to the library. There sat the whole group. Laughing about something. Ren looked at me and jumped to his feet.

"Carla!" He hugged me, spinning me in a circle.

"Hey ren " I giggled a bit. I really noticed unlike the wolves they were more light hearted. Easy going. The wolves they were just moody.

"Hey we are going to the waterfall this afternoon. Wanna come?" Seth smiled. Liz sat on his lap. Smiling at me too.

"Thats if she can get away from physco" Liz scoffed.

"I wouldnt call me Physco. Cade is fine" A voice said behind me and ren. I stiffened. He found me.
I slowly turned around. Cades arms were folded, sternly looking at me. I gulped.

"What are you doing here?" Ren asked. He didnt move from my side.

"I came to get her. Its time to take her home." Cade stated. He went to grab my arm but ren quickly grabbed it. Twisting Cadess arm. He grunted in slight pain. He yanked his arm back, shaking it a bit.

" Shes under my protection. " Cade went on. "Meaning if I see you as a threat, I wont hesitate to kill you"

"You cant kill me. Even how much you want too. We are at equal status Cade. You would loose everything." Ren said.

Oh yea, Ren was the Son of a council member. Hes pratically royalty. He couldnt be touched.
    I moved from Ren. "Its best if I go."
Cade grabbed my arm. He grabbed it tightly as we walked away.

"I didnt think you had the guts to walk away." Cade said, pratically pulling me.

"Youre hurting me" I growled. Cade looked down at me arm. He let go and stopped.

"I should have killed him by the way he was touching you" Cade growled looking back towards the library.

"He wasnt hurting me. You are" I sassed, rubbing my wrist.

"Yea but if he found out about us. Both us will die." Cade opened up the car door.

"I told you to forget it. Now look. You have to watch me like a pet." I said.

"I couldnt forget. I still hear your screams. Your pain. I can feel every emotion you have. Like right now. Youre mad and nervous." Cade said.

"Why? How? Thats not possible" I said.

"Im asking the same thing. Im going to talk to nancy." Cade pressed down the pedal to make the car faster.
