Chapter 8

"When carla was a little girl. I was a nurse in a nun orphanage. Carla was my favorite child and when I heard she had leukemia. I was heart broken. I couldnt let anything happen to her. So I bit her. Which triggered her wolf curse early. I didnt know and when the Vampire council found out, they wanted to kill her. Hybrids were. Illegal. Forbidden. Powerful. Her bite could kill a vampire and a werewolf. Her venom is deadly. So we ran... Still running" Nancy sat down her cup of Tea.
    Cade's eyes fluttered to mine. He was amazed. Taking in every piece of information.
   "With this information. You can't tell your pack. Not anyone. You and your pack would be in danger." Nancy said. " Victor could be anywhere"

" Who is victor?" Cade asked.

"Vampires Council, top hunter. Carla has a past with him. A dark one. " Nancy admitted. I slapped her arm. Why was she spilling all the dirty details?

"Tell me?" He asked. His voice sweet, considering. He cared.

"Carla and him dated. You see now that shes half Vampire and Half werewolf, She doesnt Know if she belongs to a heart or a soul. She thought Victor was her heart. He was playing her. He was planning to kill her. The night of her 16th birthday. " Nancy said.

"Bastard ruined my cake and my life" I folded my arms. " Hes been after us ever since. I swore Id never love someone ever again." Cade looked down. A little suprised at my words.

"Ill keep my lips sealed." Cade cleared his throat. " What about the vampires?" He asked.

He was assuming to Ren and Liz and that group. What would happen if they found out.

"Rens father is on the council" He admitted. I choked on my tea.

"What?" I asked. Cade nodded.

"Maybe hes been trying to get to you for different reason" Cade shurgged his shoulders ever so slightly. Making his point.

" I know us Vampires and You werewolves dont have the best past but I need you to do me a favor." She asked him. " If not for me for Carla."

He looked over to me. Pressing his lips together. "What is it?" He asked after thinking it over.

"Protect her. With everything you have, Alpha"
