Partners in crime

"You promise?... You promise!" She cackled.
Duh! Being paralysed isn't fun you know!
"Isn't it?" She said with another cackle, "Really?"
Honestly I think being dead could be more fun than this!
"Is that really how you feel?" She hissed. "Can being dead be fun?"
Now that you but it like that... My thought trailed off.
"Getting back onto what I want from you."
Damn!
"Was that your little plan? To keep carelessly chatting so I for get why I came?"
Not really but that seemed to be working...
"Where. Are. They!?" She spelt it out to me as if I were a baby but in an angry tone.
Somewhere over the rainbow... What comes next... Blue birds fly....
"I don't have time for songs..." She said sounding sleepy.
I kept singing, la la la lar la lar la lar la la la la laaaaaa. To the tune of the song , of
course.
"No... More... Funny... Business....ZZZZZZzzzzz" her hand slipped off my shoulder as she fell
to the floor... Asleep?
I jumped up and down to test that I was no longer paralysed. I could move!
"Yaaaaayyyyyy! Whowhow!" I yelled.
I heard footsteps rushing towards the house.
The glass shattered as everyone dived through like the clumsiest ninjas ever.
"You... Okay?" They all asked as I prised the phone out of the creepy lady's hand.
"Penelope!" Dan squealed as he rushed to her side.
"You know her!?" I was stunned. How could a psychopath with super powers know
somebody like... Like Dan.
"I know her..." He sounded ashamed of himself, "She's my partner in crime..."
