Calebs POV...

On the phone:

"Hey Han."

"Hey are you ready?"

"Yeah have you definitely got everything?" I asked her. She hasn't been to school for a while now so I knew she'd probably forget something.

"Um... I think so. You on your way?"

"Yeah I'll be there in five. Love you."

"Love you too." And I hung up.

Hanna's POV...

Caleb and I walked over to tne entrance of Rosewood High. A place I haven't missed much at all. I think Caleb could sense how nervous I was when he gently gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. Just as he did that I noticed Alison walking over to me. Oh god.

"Do you want me to tell her to leave?" Caleb asked.

"No I can't exactly avoid her we have three classes together today. But stay here." After I said that Ali was already stood in front of me.

"Hey Hanna. I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry for what I said at your house the other week. I didn't mean it. And Caleb I'm sorry for arguing with you." She said. She had a look on her face that I'd never seen before. Sincerity.

"It's bit late for that, don't you think?" Caleb was getting overprotective again.

"Caleb chill." I whispered. "Thanks Ali. Can we please just pretend it never happened?" I asked.

"Of course." She said with a smile and I broke my hand away from Calebs and gave her a hug. When I looked over Ali's shoulder, however, I noticed Caleb walked away into school and I could tell he was disappointed in me from behind.

Ring ring

The bell went off and I was dreading next lesson. Spanish. I usually enjoyed it because Caleb was in it but today I wasn't looking forward to it. I left him four messages earlier 'where did you go?' 'are you mad at me?' 'all I want to do is forget everything that happened and move on' 'Caleb I'm sorry, okay?' He read all of them but never responded. He also promised me that he'd meet me outside my locker at lunch but he didn't so I went off with the girls again. What's going to make the next hour even worse is Travis is in the class and he always tries to talk to me and Caleb hates it.

After standing in the halls for as long as possible I decided I had to face it. Everyone was about to take their seats and there was a free one next to Caleb so I took it so it was me, Caleb, and Calebs friend, Sam on a row and behind me was Travis. We both looked at each other and I saw how he didn't look at me like he was disappointed. More confused and unsure. The teacher gave us work to do and he usually allowed us to talk so I thought this was a good opportunity to ask him why he was upset with me.

"Caleb?" I asked trying not to get everyones attention. He looked up at me. "Why are you so upset with me? I don't know why making up with Alison is getting to you so much." Then finally he spoke.

"I'm not upset with you. I'm upset with what you did." He said.

"Why?"

"Because I stuck up for you Han when she came to your house. And it's like you totally forgot it ever happened and went straight back to 'best buds' with her."

"Oh. I get it, okay? But after the past few weeks of crying myself to sleep because of what she said to me, I guess I just want to forgive and forget." I said.

"Forgive?"

"Okay maybe not 100% forgive but I'll just pretend."

"It doesn't matter anym--" Caleb was cut off by Mr. Gerrard when I realised the whole class wasn't talking at all and he instructed on working in silence.

"Do you two care to share what you're discussing?" I looked at Caleb, unsure of what to say but he saved me, or so I thought, when he said.

"No I don't care." I couldn't help but giggle at him.

"Well then, that's an after school detention for the both of you. And you can both stand for the remaining time of the lesson."

"What? Stand up?"

"If your going to be in a Spanish class, Miss. Marin then you're at least expected to know your English. Yes, stand up." We both did what he said and my legs were killing me after ten minutes. Standing up after getting in trouble was something I thought elementary sxhool teachers did. Were told not to do any work but I didn't really care. I heard a mutter, though, from behind me.

"I always knew he was a bad influence." I didn't really know who Travis was talking about but then it hit me.

"Who's a bad influence?" I turned and asked him. He was always so nice to me when we dated but recently he was a bit of a dick. I just thought it was jealousy.

"Bad boy over there." He gestured towards Caleb.

"Alright, Travis. Just because your a jealous little boy, does not mean you can just insult and be rude to me. Or whoever you're talking about."

"Whatever you blonde slut." Caleb immediately turned round and he was clearly mad.

"Don't you dare talk to her like that or I swear to god I will rip your head off."

"Rivers please turn around or that'll be a Saturday detention for the both of you." Mr. Gerrard yelled.

"But Hanna didn't say anything!" Caleb said.

"Does it concern you?" The teacher said. I glanced over at Caleb and he got the hint that I was telling himnto shut up. And so he did.
