chapter twenty nine

Amanda

Simon pushed the second crib up to the now dry wall that I had painted a few hours earlier. David, Simon, and I were doing this as a surprise for Alesha. We were putting together the nursery and almost all of it was done. Simon and David had bought the cribs as a surprise for Alesha and waited until now to give them to her.

They had bought most of the furniture in the nursery for the twins and offered to help me with getting the nursery together so I wouldn't have to take two or three days off of work to do it by myself while Alesha was teaching. Simon had offered to help so it wouldn't take as long and David was one of Alesha's best friends.

The nursery was almost done and all Alesha and I would have to do was organize the things she had gotten at her baby shower and put the clothing that she received for the twins into the drawers of the dresser. The two men came back to the center of the bedroom to look at what we had just completed in a day.

David pulled something small out of his pocket and slipped it back onto his finger. I couldn't tell what it was when David was putting it on but I had a feeling that it was an engagement ring. Simon had told me that he had wanted to propose to David and he must have done that sometime. They had been dating for almost as long as Alesha and I had been.

There was now a small band on David ring finger, an engagement ring. I smiled when I saw it and I heard the front door open and close as Alesha and Azura and Lexi come into the house from nursery and school. Theo was taking a nap in his room so I didn't have to worry about where he was.

I went downstairs to greet Alesha and she kissed me on the cheek.

"There's a massive surprise waiting for you upstairs, babe," I told her. "You're going to love it."

"What have you done this time, Amanda?" Alesha sighed. She knew how surprises with me went, badly most of the time. I had practically made Alesha go into labour the last time I had surprised her with a hug from behind.

"It's good, I promise," I replied. The girls went upstairs with us and I pushed the door open to the nursery.

Alesha gasped as she saw it and her hand went over her mouth. I could see the large smile behind her hand when she saw the room and who had helped me.

"Do you like it?" Simon asked. Alesha nodded and she hugged me.

"I love it. Thank you, babe. And thank you, Simon and David. This is a wonderful surprise. How long have you three been planning this?" Alesha replied. She smiled again and she went to sit down in the rocking chair in the corner of the bedroom. Her hand went to rest on her baby bump while she sat there, rocking back and forth in the chair.

"A while," David admitted. He twisted the ring with his other hand, drawing attention to it. He noticed what he was doing quickly but it was already too late.

"Why do you have a ring like Mumma 'Lesha and Mummy does?" Lexi asked. David smiled when he looked at the ring.

"Because Simon and I are going to get married sometime," He replied. Simon blushed slightly and Alesha cheered.

"You two can thank us at your wedding for getting you together!" Alesha crowed. We had been hoping that Simon and David would one day get married but we both hadn't thought that Simon would propose so soon in their relationship. They hadn't even moved in with each other and they were just starting to get comfortable with talking about their sex life with us.

"We'll have to," Simon agreed. "We haven't set a date yet because we've haven't started planning at all."

"Can we be in the wedding?" Azura asked. She and Lexi both looked at Simon and David.

"Of course you two can be in our wedding. We just have to ask your mummies if its okay with them," David promised. This made the girls cheer and run into Lexi's bedroom, no doubt trying to plan Simon and David's wedding for them.

"Have you thought about having a child?" I asked the couple. They nodded.

"We were thinking about adoption after we get married or maybe get a surrogate so one of us can be the father," Simon replied.

"At least you two don't have to carry the baby yourself. I'm starting to hate being pregnant again," Alesha said. She had voiced this to me last night and I couldn't blame her. It was uncomfortable when she was trying to sleep and getting kicked in the ribs and she waddled whenever she walked. Alesha still had nine weeks left in her pregnancy though but it was more like six weeks as she was going to be induced early if she didn't go into labour by herself.

"It can't be that bad," Simon replied.

"It is. When your girlfriend is this far along in her pregnancy it means no sex at all and she doesn't want to be touched intimately. You're lucky that you're both guys then," I responded to Simon. Alesha and David laughed.

Alesha stood up with a groan, supporting her back with a hand and holding her other hand against her stomach. She stood next to me. "Says the woman who was begging for me to eat her out last night," she retorted. I blushed and Simon and David laughed. "None of that stuff is true. Amanda and I made love last night. We just can't use a strap on or a dildo for me."

My blushed deepened and I smacked at Alesha's arm. She laughed and pulled away so I swatted the air.

"You two are awful to each other in bed then," Simon announced, laughing away.
