Chapter Eight: Back to Konoha

Hinata has been staying in the village she protected the gang from and is being treated with much hospitality. Recently, a few rogue ninjas attacked the villagers. She, of course, helped by getting rid of them. They all thanked her once again, saying that they are indebted to her, they insisted her to stay for a while more, in their village.

Normally, she would go out of the village to a particular place, to train. She uses that place because she could concentrate well and there was no one using that place, at least, she thought so. There was once when she bought the latest bingo book, she saw three person that caught her eye.

'Three identities? Now this is something you don't see everyday.' Hinata whispered to herself.

'I guess it's time...'Hinata told herself as she looked up to the sky. It was evening and the sun was setting, the scenery held every so little, sadness.

It has been a month since Hinata had been in that particular village. She sensed no trouble any more, thus she left being at ease. All of the villagers greeted her goodbye and asked her to stop by anytime.

When she was nearing Konoha, she put another strong genjutsu on herself to make her look like she is 18 years old. Then she told the guards that she is here to join the ANBU and would like to speak to the Hokage. They allowed her in but still a little suspicious so she turned around and gave them one of her famous, fake yet innocent smiles and thanked them.

"That should lower their suspicion on me, hopefully." Hinata immediately gave a poker face when she turned towards the Hokage tower.

"Hokage-sama, someone is here to see you." A ninja said. "Let the person in!" She signalled to the door. "Hai!"

"Good evening Hokage-sama, I am Misaki Nakamura. I do not know which village I come from but I'm self trained pretty well. I would like to join the ANBU and I'm willing to do anything to swear my loyalty to Konoha." Hinata told the Hokage, getting on one knee and bowing to her in respect.

"Hmm... Very well then." Tsunade replied. Hinata knew she was still suspicious but she didn't care. As long as she can stay in Konoha, it is already good enough for her to work on her plan.

When she entered ANBU, she was greeted by a cold gush of wind that sent chils down her spine. She entered the hall and there was someone waiting for her there already. Or so she think?

"Misaki Nakamura, right?" The guys said. He didn't wait for Hinata's replied and proceeded on saying," your test will commence immediately and your opponent will be... Neji Hyuga." She was shocked for a moment but kept her fighting stance on.

"So, she's the newbie huh?" Neji said. 'N-Neji nii-san...' Hinata shook her head and inwardly cursed at the memeories that they shared. 'Dammit! He-he betrayed me! I shouldn't be thinking about relationships now.'

"And... fight!" The proctor announced.

"So, I heard you lost your cousin, right? Hinata Hyuga, is it?" Hinata asked.

"None of your business, outsider."Neji said even though it was no surprise that everyone knew that but he was still wondering what she was up to.

"Tsk, as smug as always." She said.

"Don't talk to me like you know me, it irritates me." He replied coldly and glared into her eyes.

"Jyuuken! (Gentle-fist)" He shot his hands out. Hinata dodged it immediately. Neji was surprised at her incrdible speed.

"Kage Slash. (Shadow Slash)" Hinata said, calmly.

"What th-" Neji tried to say but was interrupted when the slash came in contact with his skin.

'Argh! She's fast!' Neji thought. Holdinging onto his shoulder that was cut. 'It's deep...'

"Fuuton: Kaze no Yaiba! (Wind style: Wind Blade)" Hinata commanded as a blade of wind was sent towards Neji's direction.

Due to Neji's injury, he couldn't dodge it in time and suffered a blow from it. Hinata immediately ran into a hiding spot in the shadows.

"Byakugan!" Neji said. He activated his byakugan to analyse his surroundings. He was on all ears and was trying to predict what Hinata would do next. At that moment, Hinata threw ten kunais towards his direction.

"Hakkeshou Kaiten !(Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation)"A rotating shield of chakra was formed outside Neji. "Hn, thought he'd use that." Hinata whispered to herself smirking.

'She's trying to drain my chakra! I should've seen that coming!' Neji thought.

This time, Hinata came out of her hiding spot and ran towards Neji. Neji took action immediately,"Hakke Kuushou! (Eight Trigrams Air Palm)" And aimed all the air palms to Hinata but she just keeps dodging it by running up against the wall. Neji was already nearing his limit due to the injury but Hinata still hasn't broken a sweat.

This time, Neji disappeared and appeared behind Hinata. Attempting to do the jutsu Lee taught him, Kage Buyo (Leaf Shadow Dance) but Hinata disappeared at the same time and appeared behind Neji and whispered into his ears,"Raikiri. (Lightning Blade)"

"Aaaaarghhh!!!" Neji screamed and fell onto the floor and laid there unconcious. "Sorry, I'm not sorry." Hinata whispered to Neji before he close his eyes. "Who ar-" Neji asked but already was taken over by the darkness and unconcious.

"And the winner is Misaki Nakamura!" The proctor announced. She heard whispers like," Whoa! I can't believe she won! She looked so weak! Is Neji gonna be alright?" "She won?! Unbelievable!" "She defeated Neji? Are you sure? He's one of the best ANBUs here!" Hinata ignored all their comments and continued walking to the proctor.

"Is this my only test? If it is then thank you. I shall go and see the Hokage now." Hinata asked with her innocent smile on. "A-ah. It is. You can go now." The proctor said. 'The fight didn't even last ten minutes! Who the hell is she?!' The proctor thought as he broke a sweat.
