Chapter Twenty-one: My dearest sister

"But if you ever realised I wasn't lying, we'll still accept you, Sasu." She smiled at him. Sasuke stood tunned at the scene of his beautiful sister as he remembered the flashback. 

"Onee-chan..." Sasuke mumured.

"Dobe." Sasuke called.

"What, teme?" Naruto asked irritatedly.

"Sakura... is my sister." Sasuke said.

Naruto spitted out the milk he was drinking and glared at Sasuke.

"It's not funny, teme!" Naruto shouted.

"I'm serious. She has the Uchiha blood and she appeared in my memories. She is my sister." Sasuke said in a more serious tone, emphasizing that fact.

Naruto's jaw dropped. "R-really? Then maybe you can-" Naruto was cut off by Sasuke.

"No, I'm not going to talk her into coming back. I respect her decision but I want nothing to do with Karin and Ino from now on." Sasuke's  sudden decision shocked Naruto but the fact that Sakura was his sister shocked him even more. Somehow Naruto understood and understood the actions behind his intentions.

'I can't believe Sakura's my sister! My memories are good enough evidence to prove we are related, but I still don't know what I should do... I can't just get rid of my hate for Itachi for killing oto-san and okaa-san.

I also hate Karin and Ino for hurting Sakura. But I need to know why Sakura is with Itachi despite knowing that he killed our family! Why is it now then she decided to reveal herself as my sister? Why didn't she tell me earlier so she didn't have to face so much hurt? I still have so many questions... and I need to know the answers.

That's it. I'm going to find Sakura.' Sasuke made his way to where Sakura was.

Sakura stomped back to the inn where she was staying and was thinking about certain things.

'Damn those ninjas! Who the hell do they think they are? Believing and trusting as and when they want. Do they really think apologizing was enough to make me forgive them after what they did? They gotta stop acting like the world revolves around them.'

"Calm down Sakura! Things are going to be just fine as long as you think about the little 'coversation' you and Sasuke had." Hinata comforted.

'That's probably true... I hope he makes up his mind in believing me soon. I don't want him to get hurt anymore.'

"Sakura!" A voice called out. "Sasu...ke?" Sakura broke her thoughts as she turned around and found Sasuke running up to her. A gentle smile appeared on her face as she remembers how Sasuke was like when they were young.

"Sakura-onee!" Sasuke called while running towards Sakura. "Ne! Ne! Onee-chan, can you play with me?" Sasuke begged with his puppy eyes. Sakura looked at Sasuke and could not help but give in. "Alright, I'll play with you." Sakura replied. "Yay! Onee-chan's great!" Sauke cheered happily.

"...kura? Sakura?!" Sasuke called out impatiently. "Huh?" Sakura exclaimed as she was brought back into reality. "I said I want to talk to you relating some issues. Can we go inside?" Sasuke explained. "Okay."

"So what do you want to talk about, Sasuke?" Sakura asked, Sasuke noticed she dropped the nickname to avoid making him feel awkward. "Why you are with Itachi even knowing that he killed our family? Why didn't you tell me earlier that you were my sister? Why is it now that you decide to reveal this fact? Why are you in Konoha? Are you with the Akatsuki now? Why-" Sasuke bombarded Sakura with questions.

"Whoa whoa whoa. Wait a minute. One at a time." Sakura said. "Yes I'm with the Akatsuki now because of Itachi and revenge. I know it is hard for you to accept this but let me tell you the truth. Itachi was ordered by the elders of Konoha and Danzo, to kill all the Uchihas. Being the honorable and mighty ANBU and Uchiha he was, he had to do it, for the village. Although before he did it, he begged Danzo to spare us."

"Wait, why?" Sasuke butted in. "Can you please wait for me to finish, Sasu?" Sakura replied irritatedly, bringing back the nickname. "Hn." "So the reson why he did it. Because we're precious to him. He loves us so much that he was actually bargaining with the person that gave him a mission. Normally he would just do it without complain, but he is willing to get us spared. If you ever want to get your revenge, get it on Danzo. But seeing your abilities now, you are no match for him. Itachi wanted to give you his Mangekyo Sharingan during your last battle with him but I'm telling you the truth now because I don't want to see him dead! You guys are my brothers and to see you dead is the last thing I want. So please, forgive Itachi."

"..." Sasuke was thinking and processing what Sakura just said. "The only reason I'm revealing the fact that I'm your sister now is because Itachi told me the seal he put on you was weakening and I thought that it was a good time to tell you the truth, Sasu" Sakura finished off.

As Sasuke started to understand every detail, he cried. Sakura leaned in on him as a support and Sasuke gladly took her offer. He cried because he was foolish like Itachi had always said. He cried because he didn't understood anything. He cried because he was obsessed with getting revenge on the person that loved him so much. He cried because he knew he hurt his sister. He cried because he finally found his sister, Uchiha Sakura.

"I'm sorry! I-I'm sorry onee! I'm sorry for not understanding anything! I'm sorry for being dumb! A-and... I'm really sorry for hurting you..." Sasuke said and mumured the last part.

"There, there Sasu. It's alright. I can't blame you for not knowing anything. Itachi's motive was to make you strong. A revenge obsessed freak so that you can finally be as strong as him. Now you know how you became strong, thank that person and become even stronger!" Sakura patted Sasuke's back as she said all those comforting words.

"Arigato nee-chan. I'm sorry to let you see this side of me. I'm an Uchiha and a shinobi. I shouldn't be showing my emotions like that." Sasuke apologized and hiccuped. "And that's why I told you it's alright! Even shinobis like us need to release our emotions at time." Sakura gave him a reassuring smile which he gave one back in return.

Sakura and Sasuke had their moment and they decided to leave a distance first. Sakura told Sasuke about her mission in Konoha and well... he understood.

It was turning dark and as the cold wind blew through Konoha. Sakura got ready to leave and wore her Akatsuki clothes. She casted and invisibility jutsu on herself and setted out.

"This is from Pein. I'm sure you've received notice that I'm coming?" Sakura spoke in a low tone. "Yes, Haruno Sakura right?" The man replied. "Yes, it's rare to see betrayers in Konoha nowadays." Sakura kind of 'asked'. "Indeed. But aren't you one to say so yourself, Sakura-san?" The man answered. "Hn, indeed I am. Aren't I?" Sakura said.

"Well then, you should be on your way."

"Hn." Sakura walked off. She went home and settle all her writing materials down. She picked up a pen and started writing a letter for Sasuke.

She left the card in the mailbox of the Uchiha mansion, for Sasuke.

"Goodbye, Konoha. I will see you soon." Sakura whispered at the gate.

"Let's go, Sakura." Itachi said.

"Hn."
