Hinata as Sakura: Switched

Chapter Twenty-Four: Changed

"I thought freedom was nice. But now I realise it's not." Sakura said.

"Well yeah, freedom sucks. But it's too late to turn back now." Hinata replied sadly.

"It's her! Stop right there!" A Konoha ANBU called out.

"Ugh." Sakura mumbled and rolled her eyes at the appearance of some very unfriendly face..

"Stop! We just want to talk!" The ANBU shouted.

"Get lost, you freaks." Was all Sakura said as she continued running away from them.

"We really want to talk. Actually the Hokage does." The ANBU stated.

"Tsunade? What does she want now?" Sakura asked, an emotion of anger suddenly returning back to her.

"No, she just wants to talk to you." The ANBU assured. 

Sakura thought about it. She knew she couldn't trust these people but she would very much like to hear what Tsunade has to say. SO silently, she came to the ANBU and said," take me to her."

--------Back In Konoha--------

"Sakura..." Tsunade started. " What is it you want to talk about, Tsunade?" Sakura asked, void of all sorts of feelings. "Look, Sakura. I know you still hold a grudge against us for not trusting you. We know you've lost the Akatsuki but they don't love you and they aren't your family! We are your family! Here, in Konoha." Tsunade held her hand up as if asking Sakura to take it and come back to Konoha.

"You guys are just selfish. Taking away my family and saying that they don't love me and that I belong here? What gives you the right?" Sakura answered, full of spite and irritation.

"Calm down Sakura. Those people were never good to begin with and you know that. I want to provide you with the shelter and family that you really deserve. Will you accept it?" Tsunade's eyes held a motherliness Sakura had longed for but she knew better than to fall for a trick like that.

Though she was thinking hard about her offer and decided to agree. 

"Good, you will be brought to your house now but will be put under probation for 2 months." Tsunade said. 

"Okay." 

--------2 months passed--------

"Hey Sakura! Wanna train together?" Naruto asked.

"Sure, Naruto!" Sakura replied happily.

In this 2 months, she didn't let it go to waste. She bonded with Konoha 12 fast and made them trust her again by using that guilt they had in them towards her. She even made a vow to save everyone of them if their lives were in danger. Yes, even Karin and Ino.

She trained every single day and she was about ready to get sent on a mission. "I see you guys are getting along well. Sakura I'm really glad that you accepted all of this." Tsunade smiled, a relief one. "Thank you Hokage-sama. For giving me a chance." Sakura smiled.

"You're welcome. Now Kiba and Sakura, you will be receiving an S-rank mission today." Tsunade said about the details and off they go. "Sakura, we'll meet at the gate in ten minutes." Kiba said.

"Okay!" Sakura nodded and went back to pack her things for the mission. "It's time to get my plan into action." Sakura said and an evil smirk formed on her face.

"Ready to go, Sakura?" Kiba asked. "Ready as I'll ever be! Let's go!" Sakura cheered.

"Stop. We won't allow any of you to go further than this." A voice commanded. "Huh? And who gives you the right to?" Kiba asked irritatedly. "We did."

Three ninjas appeared and on their forehead was a Sand village sign that was slashed. Kiba and Sakura separated and fought them individually. Kiba was facing two opponents while Sakura was facing the other.

"So Sakura-sama. Is there anything else you need us to do?" The ninja asked. "Nothing, you're dismissed." Sakura put her hand up to signal he could go. Actually, those ninjas were in cahoots with Sakura. They were hired by Sakura specially when she found out they were capable ninjas that went rogue.

Not one day has passed in Konoha when she felt like murdering every single one of them. This pretense she had kept up till now had exhausted her to no extent. She's tired of it and she wants to move on with her plan, as soon as possible.

"S-Sakura, you're not...hurt? I'm glad... can you heal me and Akamaru please?" Kiba requested while laying on the ground. Sakura didn't move at all. She just stood up, looked at him in disgust and stepped on his head.

"What are you doing, Sakura?" Kiba exclaimed but winced at the injuries. Akamaru tried to get up but he, too was too weak. The shinobis Sakura hired were elite, of course they had to do a good job.

"You know how hard it was to pretend to like you guys when I don't?" Sakura spat and took out her katana, pretending to be examining it. "W-wait. Sakura, no!" Kiba screamed. 

Kiba's heartbeat stopped and it was Akamaru's turn next. "I'm sorry Akamaru, you can go join your master." Sakura mocked.

*Slash!* *ARF!~" -Dead-

"Finally. My revenge will start." Sakura declared. She carried Kiba bridal style and placed Akamaru on top of him.

A she walked through the gates of Konoha, she saw the guards looking at her with Kiba and Akamaru. "W-what happened, Sakura-san?!" They asked.

Sakura pretended to sniff and started crying. "T-they took them away from me... I-I was useless! I could only watch... I-I'm so sorry!" Sakura fake cried as she brought the bodies of the two beings closer to her to look more affectionate.

"I-It's okay Sakura-san. For now we should just report this to Hokage-sama now." The ninja informed. Sakura nodded but still kept her act on.

"H-Hokage-sama..."

"Enter!" 

"What is this!" She demanded.

Sakura began to pour out more tears this time. "I-it's K-Kiba's and A-Akamaru's b-body... I couldn't save them! I was useless!" Sakura lied in between sniffles.

Tsunade was just stunned. "I thought this day would come but just not that fast..." She trailed off. "Prepare his funeral. Sakura, it's not your fault." Tsunade comforted.

"Yes it is! I-it was my fault..." Sakura said while sniffling. "No it isn't, Sakura. Being killed in action is part of life in the shinobi world. Accept it, don't blame yourself." Tsunade comforted with a mature smile. "Y-yes, Tsunade-sama." Sakura apologized.

A few hours later the funeral begun...

Many sobs and crying were heard but the loudest were from Naruto and Sakura. They were the closest friend from Kiba besides Shino. Shino only kept quiet. He didn't know what to say. He was at loss for words but his heart was aching.

--------After the funeral--------

"Konoha 12 will never be the same without Kiba again." Naruto said softly. "Yes indeed." Sakura replied back to him softly. She looked sad but she was smirking on the inside with Hinata.

"Cruel and cunning, just the way I like it." Hinata commented.

'Had to pay them back for their kind deeds, don't I?' 

"Yes indeed."
