Chapter Twenty-Five: Gone

One by one.

Each mission they go.

They would be found...

dead.

No one knows why

or how

they were killed.

All they know is they died horrible deaths.

But only Sakura knows...

"I don't get what's wrong! Why is it when they are sent on a mission, they are always found dead?! Why?" Naruto rambled.

"It's just part of the shinobi life..." Sakura explained.

They were the only two left of Konoha 12.

And everyone...

was dead.

Naruto especially, was very emotional. He wouldn't go eat ramen at Ichiraku's anymore. He wasn't the loud mouth he always was anymore. He would not train anymore. He was too depressed over his friends' deaths.

"Damn it! But why them?! And I couldn't even save them... I'm too weak! I'm such a failure!" Naruto shouted back.

"Calm down Naruto. It was my fault too. I should've helped them... It's my fault." Sakura answered.

'I still can't believe we've come this far. Shikamaru was an especially difficult one. As smart as he was in figuring out you were behind all these, his abilities held him back and he was incompetent to begin with.'

'I couldn't agree with you more. But sneaking out when I don't even have a mission just to go out of Konoha to kill them was risky as well.'

'I'm just glad it will all be over soon.'

'Yeah I hope so.'

During the time when Naruto was busy mourning the loss of his friends, a new group was formed and it was led by Madara. Their aim is to capture all jinchurikis like the Akatsuki but they had even more powerful members this time.

There were two who owned the Sharingan, two who had the rinnegan, one that has the byakugan. Another two whose chakra was on par with a tailed beast and including Sakura, three, and a powerful jutsu and seal user, and Zetsu...

They were all teamed up together to continue what the Akatsuki left behind. Since the Akatsuki had already collected most of the bijuus, the only ones left were the ichibi, hachibi and kyuubi.

Sakura was always in the village so no one suspects a thing about her. Except maybe, they should. Some of the Sakuras they see, are clones. A clone of Sakura's that has the exact same chakra as her.

The real Sakura was actually in action. Every minute she was always searching for ways to get her revenge. Allying with Madara to plan for her revenge. She too had her troubles, but no one knew.

"Kazekage!! It's chaos outside!" A Suna shinobi exclaimed worriedly.

"What is happening?" Gaara stood up abruptly, he could practically feel the ground shaking.

"P-please go out and take a look!" The shinobi asked frantically.

When Gaara came out of the Kazekage tower, he was shocked at what the village had become. Buildings were toppled and destroyed, people were crushed and many were crying and running for their lives.

"Yo, jinchuriki!" The man greeted.

Gaara glared towards the owner of the voice. "Who are you and what did you do to my village?" 

"Oh, I thought you would be smart! But in fact, you're not, plus you're obviously blind. Can't you see I redecorated it?" The man replied in a mocking tone, presenting to Gaara his masterpiece.

"I am asking you a question." Gaara replied calmly. "Hn. The name's Hotori. I'm here to capture you. Now would you come with me?" Hotori asked when he knew exactly what Gaara's reply would be. He just loves to play around.

"Never! Kubaku Shousho!(Sand coffin)" Sand came out and wrapped Hotori's body and at Gaara's order, it crushed him. "I guess that's sad isn't it." Hotori said and appearing on top of the ruins of the building.

Gaara turned around cautiously again. "Just be good, stay still. And die." Hotori deepened his voice at the last part. Gaara scoffed and continued attacking him with his sand. Hotori just kept dodging and dodging every particle that reached out to him.

'Just use me already. You know you can't win these guys without me.' Shukaku said.

"Shut up. I won't ever use you again. I promised." Gaara replied stubbornly.

Well, eventually Gaara got caught and Shukaku was absorbed into the stone with the other bijuus. In turn for his life.

The kazekage, is now dead.
