Hinata as Sakura: Switched

Chapter Seventeen: Just the Beginning

Outside the Akatsuki hideout, Konoha 12 and the Akatsuki were sitting opposite each other and glaring daggers at one another. "We know our cherry blossom will definitely win your bitches!" Hidan shouted.

"No way! She's still that weak ass we know and forever will be! Our beauty and red head on the other hand is way better than your wilted flower!" Naruto proclaimed. Sakura glared at him intensely while Ino and Karin were blushing at his comment.

"Call me weak again and see what happens..." Sakura dared Naruto but he just kept quiet. "Go Saku-chan~!" Tobi cheered. "Go Ino! Go Karin!" Konoha 12 cheered. "

"Show them what you are made of, Sakura!" They all rooted. Sakura cracked her fingers and prepared her fighting stance, so did Karin and Ino. She first went for Karin and took her down with her super strength. Karin was about to bite herself to heal but Sakura stepped on her head and kicked her back onto the trunk of the tree.

Ino rushed to help her but Sakura expected it and immediately flashed infront of her to stop her. Sakura faced Ino and looked straight into her eyes. Full of hatred, full of hurt. Full of accusations, full of betrayal. Ino felt a little guilty, Sakura was her best friend after all, and rival at some point of time.

Feelings for someone don't just disappear like that, or maybe they do over time. Ino shook that thought away, remembering what she saw and what she heard. She directed her focus back and tried to attack Sakura again. She swung out her kunai a few times but missed, so her only option now was to enter Sakura's mind.

A smirk was plastered onto Ino's face but Sakura returned one. Before Ino could completely the jutsu, Sakura asked Hinata," You ready, Hinata? Looks like we have a visitor."

"Ready as I'll ever be." Hinata answered back, smiling.

"Shintenshin no jutsu! (Mind-transfer jutsu)" Ino shouted. Sakura and Ino fainted at the same time.

------------------In their heads-------------------

"Sakura, you are so going down..." Ino said with spite. "Who's going down?" A voice boomed from behind. "Who's there?!" Ino screamed. "It was only a few months that you guys think I was "killed" by Sakura. You really don't know who I am?" The voice chuckled humourously, in a dead way.

"H-Hinata?!" Ino exclaimed. "That's right." Hinata appeared from the shadows, walking at a slow speed then stopping a few feet before Ino.

"B-but we saw you-!" Ino was shocked and tried to reason with what she saw but was cut off by Hinata.

"I've changed, Yamanaka-san. Being a rogue for the past three months has changed me. Also got me thinking and realising how important you treat a friend. Especially one that actually was there for all of you when you guys needed her. Because of what you guys have done to not just her, but me, we've now turned into your biggest enemies." Hinata explained, reminiscing whatever happened the past three months.

"I-it can't be! You-!" Ino was cut off when Hinata appeared behind her and trailed a finger along the nape of her neck. "I would kill you right here and right now but then you won't have time to say goodbye to your friends now, will you?" Hinata slurred mockingly then punched Ino out of Sakura's consciousness.

------------------Back to the fight--------------------

Everyone sat nervously while waiting for Ino and Sakura to come back. Karin was still adjusting herself back to one piece. She mumured to herself," that bitch's gonna pay..." At that moment, Ino suddenly shot up back in her own body while Sakura just slowly stood up with a smirk plastered on her face.

"H-Hinata..." Ino said with wide eyes, fear evident on her face. "Hope you liked what you see. What a touching reunion, why not we get her out and say hi to the rest of the team too?." Sakura teased, eyeing Ino with a glare. "You little-!" Ino yelled back but stopped as soon as she realise it was useless. She started walking back towards Konoha 12.

"Wait." Sakura said. Ino stopped but never looking back. "I can't let a guest go when I haven't even given her a present, can I?" Sakura said slyly. Ino's eyes widen as Sakura behind her and punched her back with a chakra infused fist. She fell to the floor with a thud and laid on the ground, motionless.

"Who else wants some of this weakling?" Sakura laughed but then glared at them as soon as she stopped. They kept quiet and only kept their eyes either on the ground or their injured comrades. "We'll be back for you Sakura. For everything." Naruto warned and left together with the rest of his team.

"That's my line, idiot." She felt sad, empty and a lack of meaning in life. Konoha, once a great place she could call home. Konoha 12, once great friends she could run to with any problems. Team 7, once a great team who was practically unseperable. Sakura Haruno, once a cheerful shinobi but now broken inside.

Tears threatened to fall from her eyes but Sakura knew better than to let it out. Sensing a change of mood, everyone slowly made their way back into the hideout, leaving Itachi and Sakura out alone.

Trickling down were a few drops of rain, then a shower came with the drizzle. Now Sakura could cry freely and let the tears flow down together with the rain, she could no longer hold back the emotions that were killing her from the inside.

Itachi made his way over to her and placed a hand on her back. "Let's go in, sister."

Sakura opened her eyes and then onto the ground. Eyes now puffy, she answered, "right," and she followed Itachi back in.

---------Meanwhile with Konoha 12---------

"Ino, what happened?" Shikamaru asked when he saw Ino spacing out while being carried by him. She just ended a fight with a new Sakura they never knew existed but it seems like there was something more to it than the exhaustion in her expression. "H-Hinata-" Ino stuttered out.

"What about Hinata?" Naruto asked and everyone's attention turned to her. "She- she's alive." Ino stammered. Everyone stopped in their tracks and exclaimed," what?"

"Where was she?!" Naruto asked loudly. "She was in S-Sakura's mind..." Ino trailed off. "Say what?!" Naruto screamed again. "Stop shouting you dobe! Let her think!" Sasuke exclaimed. "Sh-she said she was now a-allies with S-Sakura." Ino answered, with an exhausted expression on her face.

"Don't worry, I'll just have to train harder in order to stop her from bringing harm to any of you again!" Naruto declared, his determination wasn't wearing off on them this time, they knew better than that.

"Yeah! She won't be able to defeat teamwork!" TenTen added on. Everyone kept quiet, they knew something more than teamwork was needed to bring down the Sakura they just saw.

Sakura sat down on Itachi's bed and rolled to one side, thoughts still running on about the fight that just occured. Feelings of sadness and sorrow was washed over by another feeling.

Hatred. All she could think of now, was plotting her revenge.

Watch out Konoha, this is just the beginning.
