Pernico

"Percy watch out!" Nico yelled. He stabbed a telkahine that was lunging towards him as Percy dodged a hell hound.
They continued to fight, Celestial Bronze and Stygian Iron against the claws and teeth of the monsters they were fighting.
Out of the corner of his eye, Percy saw something. The Manticore was sneaking up behind Nico. Oh how he wished the guy would leave them alone. Quickly, he turned and began running to par the strike. It seemed as if he was running in syrup or slow motion.
"Nico!" He yelled. Instead of dodging the spike headed his way, Nico turned with a scowl.
"What?" Percy yelped as the Manticore drove it's spike through Nico's chest, and Nico crumpled to the ground. He slashed the tail off, turning the Manticore into dust. A couple grimy tears spilled out of his cheeks as he stood over the lifeless body of his little cousin, the Son of Hades.
