"Guys, don't hate me, but I have a problem." I say pacing back and forth. I can see Michael roll his eyes.

"What?" he says.

"They invited 'my family' to dinner." I say. They all stop what they're doing.

"No." Calum says being straightforward.

"Well I don't exactly have a family anymore." I say looking at the ground.

"Well, I say, you go, say your mom isn't feeling well and then we will just go with you I guess." Ashton suggests.

"Do you think that will work?" I ask.

"No," Calum pauses. "but it's worth a try." he says almost mad.

"Well then go get ready. Go." I say as I fix my hair since I got dressed earlier. We all meet back in the middle of the basement. We walk up the stairs we found a while ago and walk to the door.

"It's now or never." I say knocking. A few seconds later Adelaide's mom opens the door. She smiles.

"Luke so glad you could make it." she pauses looking at all of us, "Uh where's your mom?" she asks as her face flushed with confusion.

"Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but his mom is sick." Calum says before I can. "I'm Calum." he smiles.

"I'm Lucy." she smiles. "Please come in."

"You better hope this works." Michael whispers behind me.
