Today Luke made all of us hang out with him and Adelaide in the basement. Against my will might I add. It's only been a day since I met Payton and I can't get her off my mind. I don't know what it is about her that makes her so mesmerizing.

"Luke, can Payton come and hang out with us." Adelaide yelled across the basement.

"We are right here." I muttered to myself, no one hearing.

"Uh, sure I guess." he said looking at all of us for approval, I made sure no one was looking before I pulled Luke into a room. I let go of his arm and he starts rubbing it.

"Ow, why? Why did you do that?"

"You said Payton can come."

"Yeah, I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, considering I saw the way you kept looking at her yesterday."

"That was yesterday. As in not today. No way, it's bad enough I have to hang out with Adelaide, now Payton too?" I say in a low voice so no one can hear me.

"We'll hang out for a little then you will 'leave' and say you have to go somewhere." he offers using quotations.

"Whatever." I push past him and speed out the door, only to hit Payton.

"I'm so sorry." she says looking at her phone.

"It's okay." as soon as the words come out of my mouth she looks up and smiles.

"Hey Cal."

"Cal?" I ask slightly laughing.

"Yeah, that's your new nickname." she laughs walking away.

She gave me a nickname. I can't give her one because that will make me admit I like her, and I don't like her. I mean, I can't. She's living, I'm dead. She can live a long happy life without me. I was interrupted from my thoughts when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Huh, what?" I ask looking at Luke.

"Do you want to play?" he asks, his head discretely motioning towards our instruments in the other room.

"Play? What? I'm confused." Adelaide looks at all of us.

"You'll see." Luke smiles before Michael, Ashton, him and I disappear into the other room to grab our instruments.

A/N: This is really short. Don't hate me. I will update again, probably right after this one goes up. I'm not sure.
