I instantly take interest in Calum as soon as Adelaide introduced us. He's amazing. I know this makes me sound like a total fangirl but his jaw line is kinda perfect. He's perfect. I can't help, but stare at him.

"Hey Payton." he says standing up and offering his hand. I smile as soon as he says my name in his Australian accent. I take his hand.

"Cold." I say.

"What?" Adelaide asks.

"His hand. It's cold." I say looking at our connected hands. He pulls away. I notice they all look at each other before Luke, I think, speaks.

"Weird."

It's an uncomfortable silence before I start to talk.

"So, where are you guys from? I'm leaning towards Australia. No, wait, I'm certain you're from Australia." Adelaide says something under her breath.

"What Adelaide?" Calum asks.

"Nothing." she says. I give her a look.

Michael, I think, whispers something to Calum, who whispers something back.

"Hey, guys I have an idea." Ashton, I'm certain, says. "Let's talk to," he pauses leaning closer to us. " the dead." he whispers.

"No." Adelaide says flat out declining.

"Come on it will be fun." Luke says trying to get her to give in.

"Fine." she grumbles. They get out the one board thing that let's you 'communicate' with the dead. We all out two fingers on the thing that moves and stay quiet for a few minutes.

"So what do we ask?" I ask.

"Uh, I don't really know." Adelaide says looking at me.

"Wait I got one." Calum says. "Will Katy Perry ever love me." We all just look at him.

"What? I'm curious." he says defending himself. The little thing starts to move and goes directly to no.

"Awee poo." he says like a little kid. I laugh at his childness.

"Are you here?" Ashton asks, getting serious. The thing moves to yes.

"How did you die?" I ask. It moves to a letter. We all read it off.

"M."

Another letter.

"U."

Another.

"R."

Another.

"D."

Another.

"E."

And one last letter.

"R."

"Murder. I'm done." Adelaide says taking her fingers off and running upstairs.

"I'll go talk to her." I say following behind Adelaide.

A/N: and a Payton point of view! she likes Calum awee!
