"Are you here?" Ashton asks. The thing moves to yes. Or Ashton moves the thing.

"How did you die?" Payton asks. Ashton moves the thing again. We all read off the letters.

"M."

Another.

"U."

Another.

"R."

Another.

"D."

Another.

"E."

And one last one.

"R." I glare at Ashton. Of course he would pick my death as the death because he knows I like Adelaide.

"Murder. I'm done." Adelaide says, taking her hands off, and running upstairs.

"I'll go talk to her." Payton says, following Adelaide's actions.

"Really, Ashton, really?" I yell pushing him.

"What?" he asks acting completely oblivious to what I was talking about.

"YOU COULD OF USED ANY OF OUR DEATHS AND YOU USED MINE!" I scream angry.

"What makes you think I was the one moving it?" he asks leaning back on his elbows.

"It was your idea and we are the 'spirits' in here." I say using quotations.

"Fine, I was the one moving the thing, but I didn't pick yours intentionally."

"Yes you did. You know I like Adelaide, even though I'm not supposed to according to Calum, so you thought 'why not freak her out?' I know how Adelaide is. We haven't stopped hanging out for the past few weeks, she's not going to get over this and she will probably never talk to me again. Thanks." I say before punching him in the jaw and walking away. I walk up to Adelaide's room. I pass Payton in the hall.

"She's shutting me out. She gets spooked really easy and she probably won't leave her room for a few days. Let alone talk to anyone." she says before walking past me.

I knock on the door, but she doesn't come. I open the door and lean against the door frame.

"Hey can I come in." she just looks at me before leaning back on her headboard. I walk in and sit beside her on her bed. She leans against me so I put my arm around her shoulders.

"Luke, you've lived here longer. Did anyone die in this house?" she asks, her voice barely audible.

"No." I say bouncing my leg up and down.

Yes. Four people to be exact.

"Are you sure?" she asks, her voice muffled by my shirt.

"Yes, I promise. Please can you come out."

"No, you're lucky I'm even talking to you." she says getting up.

"Okay." I say getting up.

"What are you doing?" she asks as I walk to her tv stand.

"We are going to watch a movie." I say putting in a movie.

"What movie?" she asks.

"That's a surprise." I say sitting back on her bed as she walks towards me. She leans up beside me as the movie starts.

"Nemo? Really?" she asks giggling.

"Don't make fun of me." I say fake pouting.

"I'm not." she says leaning closer. About ten minutes into the movie, she's asleep. I carefully get up, making sure not to wake her. I kiss her forehead before turning off her light and going back to the basement.
