My mother walks in the dining room with Luke and three other boys I've never seem before.

"Honey, these are Luke's friends," she pauses, indicating she needed their names.

"I'm Michael." the one with green hair said.

"Ashton."

"Calum."

"Adelaide." I replied looking at my feet.

"How about you set the table?" my mom says looking at me.

"Yeah." I say going into the kitchen. I grab plates and turn around to be met with Luke. I slightly jump and almost lose the plates.

"Luke, what are you doing?" I ask as my heart beat slows down.

"Do you need help?" he asks flashing his perfect smile.

"Sure." I smile handing him the plates. We get the table set and my mom brings out the food. We sit down and wait for my dad to come out of his study. He doesn't really like me in there because he has 'important' stuff in there. My mom makes small talk.

"So, you guys are Australian right?" they nod.

"Where in Australia?" I ask.

"Sydney." Luke replies smiling at me.

"So why did you move here?" I ask.

"New scenery." Ashton laughs. He started again, "Nah, we just wanted something different." they all nod in agreement.

"Guys sorry I'm late for dinner. I had a business call." my dad comes in taking a seat next to my mother and me. "Who are they and why are they in my house?" he asks leaning over to me and whispering.

"These are Michael, Calum, Ashton, and Luke," I smile at his name. "and they are here for dinner. Mommy invited them." I say, hearing them laugh quietly at me calling my mom mommy.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Brown." they all say almost simultaneously.

"Please don't call me Mr. Brown it makes me feel old." he says gaining a few laughs.

Luke leans over to me. "Can we talk after this?" he whispers. I nod my head in response.

"So Luke, where's your mom?" my mom asks.

"Oh, my mum, uh, she's sick." he stutters. I'm sitting beside him and I can feel his leg shaking.

"And your guys?" my dad asks looking at the others. They all look at each other before Calum starts talking.

"They are back in Australia. They didn't want to quit their jobs so we asked if we could move in with Luke here." he says putting a hand on Luke's shoulder. I nod and smile. After dinner, I take Luke to my room because he wanted to talk.

"So what did you want to talk about?" I ask shutting the door.

"Oh, uh, is nothing. Not important. See you later Addie." he says rocking back and forth before hugging me. Before he walks out the door I talk.

"Wait what did you call me?" I ask smiling.

"Oh, uhm, I called you Adelaide." he says nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"No, you called me Addie." I say walking closer to him.

"Did I? I don't think I did." he says shutting the door after stepping back in.

"Yes, you did. You said," I pause getting ready to imitate him, "Oh, uh, it's nothing. Not important. See you later Addie." I say in a deep voice walking closer to him. "and then you walked up to me, and very awkwardly hugged me. If you are going to hug me at least hug me right." I laugh wrapping my arms around his torso. His arms go around my neck and we stay like that. It seems like hours before he pulls away.

"I got to go." he whispers walking out the door.
