I'm hearing the voices again. I haven't heard them since the move. I haven't heard them since I met Luke. They were gone, they were supposed to be gone. I keep hearing them.
"You're not good enough."
"You're a loser."
"You shouldn't be here."
I look down at my arms and debate if I want to do what I haven't done in over a month. I obviously choose it and grab the blade beside me. I hesitate before dragging it across my wrist.
"Adelaide what are you doing?" Luke asks running beside me.
"Nothing. I-"
"That doesn't look like nothing."
"It is, just drop it." I say pushing past him.
"Adelaide, talk to me." he says walking behind me.
"No, there's nothing to talk about." I say wiping my arm on a towel.
"Just tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing's wrong." I storm out and go downstairs. I make sure to cover my wrist before walking in the kitchen. My mom knows I used to cut, she got me help. She was the reason I quit. She got me help, and the voices went away. Now they're back.
"Hey, mommy." I say walking in the kitchen.
"No, hey daddy." my dad says sitting at the kitchen.
"Hey daddy." I say smiling and walking over to him. I sit on his lap, even though he's told me multiple times not to. I guess my outfit wasn't the best choice because my shirt was white and I was still slightly bleeding. No one noticed, at least I don't think they did.
"Alright, I have to go to work, I love you bye." my dad says pushing me off his lap.
"Bye daddy, I love you." I say hugging him. My mom and him exchange their goodbyes, I try not to pay attention because, gross.
"Don't think you can get away, without telling me what happened." my mom says as I walk out if the kitchen. I slowly back into the kitchen.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I say turning to fave her.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Sit." she demands pointing at the chair in front of me.
"What happened you were doing so good. You went longer than your last slip up. What's going on?" she asks. I debate wether telling her the truth or lying.
"They're back mom. The voices are back." I whisper.
A/N: Betcha didn't expect that. Or maybe you did. I don't know. I'll probably update again tonight I'm not sure. Also I'm not the best at writing about that so yeah.
