Chapter 1

It was now or never! Yep Monse was going to do it. She was going to tell Cesar she like him. LIKED him ! and she was going to do it tonight – her last night in Freeridge for the Summer before she left for Writing camp.

Yep TONIGHT is THE NIGHT!

Monse Finnie had been in love with Cesar Diaz for the past year, and she had been his best friend as long as she could remember. She had contemplated for a long time about telling him how she felt. 371 days to be exact but she hadn't been able to.

She, Cesar , Ruby and Jamal were a crew ! more of a family!! And she didn't want to be the cliched girl who split the fam up so for a year she'd kept her mouth shut. Her heart squeezing painfully every time she saw Cesar flirt with a girl and making simultaneously making happy little jumps, when Cesar would immediately abandon his girl toy of the hour, and scramble over to her as soon she he saw her.

She knew she was important to him but important as a friend/sister? a friend/crush ? she had no friggin idea.

So tonight, she was going to take the plunge. Take the plunge and find out whether she was going to be writing about love all Summer or heartbreak.
