"Cheryl, I never thought you would have came in today" I rub her arm as she stands with Toni.

"I need to. I can't ruin my reputation" she smiles but I can tell it's fake and she's putting it on and I know Toni knows it's an act too.

"I tried to tell her not to come in but she came anyway" Toni gives her a side eye and smirks a little.

"I can't ruin my-"

"Cheryl, great! We need to talk, now. You too, Sophia" Veronica cuts off Cheryl with a lot of sassiness and not really caring if we want to or not.

"Not now, V"

"Cheryl, we need to speak"

"And I said not now"

"Oh, So your going to ignore me for that pink serpent"

"Well if you got a problem then let's talk about it" Toni tries to go into Veronica's face but I hold her back.

"Come on Ladies, more professional. Veronica, we'll talk to you later, leave us. Toni, calm down and Cheryl we can deal with her whenever we have time. Goodbye, V" Veronica just rolls her eyes and struts off.

"Soph, you handled that well"

"I'm good at that type of thing"

"Anyway, we should get to class"

"Yeah, Cher, lets go"

Sure, we can ditch school and then be back at the end of the day.

"You wanted girl talk? Thanks pop" pop smiles and sits my smoothie on the counter.

"Yes, girl talk"

"So what's wrong? What do you wanna talk about?"

"It's Cheryl"

"I don't know what to do. I want her to be happy but she's used to living in a big mansion not a crappy apartment. I want her to be happy, I really do but I don't know if she's pretending to make me happy"

"Toni, your overthinking this. Of course she's happy. She's happy as long as she's with you. Maybe her not living in her house is a good thing for her. She'll get space from her mother and more time with you. Yeah, okay, living somewhere smaller might be out of her comfort zone but it's good to do things that you maybe never thought you would. I promise you, she's happy" Toni's face brighten up.

"Your really good at speeches"

"I know" I giggle.
