Alex and his best friend, John Laurens, we're going to see a musical. Alex drove them to Broadway where they were going to see "Miranda: An American Musical."
They were at the front doors when it started. Alex gestured to the door and with a smile jokingly said. "After you, my good sir."
"No, no, no, after YOU my better sir." John did the same.
"No, I really insist you go first."
"I'm fine, you should really go before me."
"No. I shouldn't. You. Should. Go. First."
"But it wouldn't be right if I went first. You should really go first."
"John, just fucking go first."
"No, Alex. You need to go first."
"Just go first."
"No, I really insist that you go before me."
"I really think you should go first if you know what's best for you."
"Is that a threat? Because if so I believe it would be in your best interests to go first."
"JUST GO THROUGH THE DAMN DOOR LAURENS!"
That ended that argument and John went first. They enjoyed the musical and didn't fight with the door on the way out.
