Chapter 5

*HAYES POV*

~next day~

I'm kinda upset I wasn't there on the last day, but I'm also happy. I just woke up and my clock said 9:56.

I checked my phone and did the usual. Scrolled through Twitter, Instagram, and vine. Then I got a text from Natalie. It said,

Natalie✔️😍: Hayes, something happened on the last day of school that I don't think you will like. I want to tell you because I didn't want you to find out from someone else.

I was nervous and anxious. I texted her back.

Me: Um.. okay wanna come over to my house?

Natalie✔️😍: Sure, at 11?

Me: Yeah that's fine.

"Hey." Natalie said as I opened the door.

"Hey Hayes who is this?" Nash asks as he walked down the stairs.

"Oh this is Natalie remember? You've met her before."

"Oh... yeah sorry Natalie." he apologized.

"Oh it's fine! Oh! Do you think my friends and I could maybe meet Cameron Dallas??" she replied eagerly.

"Haha! Sure I'll arrange a day, and you guys can come and see him!" he said.

"OH MY GOD THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU!" She yelled.

"Yeah no problem." Nash said.

"Okay Natalie wanna go upstairs?" I asked her.

"Yeah sure!" we went to my room and
I was waiting for her to tell me the news.

"Okay. So, Grace..... and Michael are..... dating." she slowly said.

"Uh... that's, great." I said disappointed, because Natalie knows I really like Grace. She is the only one I've told. I recently started to really like Grace. A lot. I can't stop thinking about
her

"Listen Hayes, I know you really like her and I'm sorry. and I-"

I cut her off. "No, it's fine. But I don't just like her. I think, I'm...... In love with her." I said. It felt good to finally get that off my chest.

"Aw Hayes! I don't know what to say."

"No. Don't say anything it's fine." I said looking down, staring at my hands in my lap. "I guess I'm okay but, I wish I knew that my best friend was gonna do that. I would've told him I liked her."

*NATALIE POV*

Sammy and I went to Grace's house after I went to Hayes's. Michael was already there. I told Sammy what Hayes said because I know I can trust her.

We knocked on Grace's front door, and Mr. Benson answered.

"Hello girls! Grace and Michael are downstairs." He told us.

"Okay thanks!" we both said.

We walked downstairs and Michael and Grace were on the couch making out.

"Good lord, they're sucking each others faces!" Sammy whispered to me so they couldn't here. I giggled and scared them.

"HEY GUYS WHAT UP!!" I yelled.

"AHH! oh my god guys wtf??" Grace laughed.

"Sorry!" Sammy laughed with her. Michael just sat there embarrassed.

"Sooooo!? How's a goin between you two huh?" I asked.

"Uh, stuff?" Michael said, but more like a question.

"Ohh I see." I said, obviously irritating them. But that was my goal. It's funny sometimes.

"Okay well I should probably get going." Michael said. "See you later guys. Bye beautiful." he said as he kissed Grace on the cheek.

*GRACE POV*

Michael just left. That was awkward. I'm obviously not mad at Sammy Natalie because they were just kidding around.

Although, Natalie kept giving me a look like she needed to tell me something.
I wanna know, but I probably shouldn't worry about it.

But I wonder what it is.

*GRACE POV*

~one week later~

Last night was Friday and there was this party. Not like a crazy party but like 30 people at someone's house, but didn't go.

I woke up in the morning to a text. It was from Sammy.

I opened the text. It was a picture of two people. It was hard to make out who it was because it was far away, but I soon realized it was Michael and a girl kissing. But, Michael told me he wasn't going because he was too tired too.

My stomach dropped and my heart sank. I cannot believe this. And I was even more devastated when I realized who it was...
