Chapter 34

*GRACE POV*

It's a few weeks later and Hayes and I have been texting like normal and we've hung out a few times, just as friends. It's going pretty well and I feel like old friends again, even if I still love him.

I've been texting Michael too. We kind of faded a little bit but I don't want to completely loose our friendship so we are going to hang out some this week, like old times.

Right now it's 1 in the afternoon and I'm getting ready to go over to Sammy's house.

"Hey Grace!!" Sammy yelled as she opened her front door.

"Hi! I have some things to tell you." I giggled and she looked excited. We went to her room and started talking.

"Can you believe school starts in only one week?" she asked. I completely forgot with everything going on, that I start high school next week! Shit I'm not looking forward to this.

"Yeah I'm probably gonna get shoved into a locker." I joked.

"So what's going on with everything? I heard about Natalie. I'm so sorry." she had a very sad look on her face.

"It's fine... Anyways we broke up and then we talked some so I gave him another chance, but just as friends. He says he still loves me and I think I still love him." I looked down at the floor.

"Grace I'm sorry. I know you still want to be with him so why don't you?" she asked like it was the obvious answer. But maybe it was.

"I don't know, maybe you're right. I should just get back together with him and see how things go." She nodded her head excitedly and for the rest of the time we just sat around on our phones, watching reruns of KUWTK.

Before I left her house she noticed the scars on my wrist. I have gotta be more careful with that... She was very disappointed and worried and just told me to never to it again because I'm worth it. It made me feel a lot better.

~Later that day~

*HAYES POV*

Grace texted me and told me she wants to talk. This could either go extremely well or extremely bad...

I walked over to the park where she told me to meet her and she was there waiting on a swing, staring into space.

"Grace?" I called. She looked up and half smiled.

"Hey um, I need to tell you something." she started off. I was getting pretty nervous and I just wanted her to get to the point.

"So I realize that you... wait no. I-I... I don't know how to say this." She stuttered.

"Grace just say it." I encouraged her.

"I- I still love you." she said quickly and quietly. I tried to hold back my smile, but it was too late. I sat there smiling like an idiot.

"And I want to give you another chance, for real this time. I realize that I'm not myself without you, even if we are still friends. I need you Hayes."

I grabbed her hand and kissed her cheek. "Does this mean we're... back together?" I asked her. She nodded and we both smiled before I kissed her gently.

*GRACE POV*

Hayes kissed me and I felt so relieved having his lips on mine again. I just hope I don't regret this decision.

Carly asked me and Jillian to go to her next appointment for the baby. We were on our way and I planned on telling them about Hayes when we leave the hospital.

We were directed by a nurse to a room where Carly laid down and she put the stuff on her stomach and showed us the baby on the screen.

"Would you like to know if it's a girl or boy?" the nurse asked.

"No thank you I want to be surprised." Carly responded. "This is so weird. That thing is inside really inside of me?"

"Well yeah that's how a pregnancy works." Jillian laughed and Carly rolled her eyes.

"This is creepy but cool." I said, but didn't mean for anyone to hear. They all looked at me laughing. "What it is!" I laughed back.

After we left the hospital it was quiet in the car so I decided to tell them now.

"Hey guys?" I asked. I heard muffled 'yeahs' so I kept talking.

"Today Hayes and I uh, got back together." I said slowly. They rolled there eyes playfully.

"Grace we already figured that out." Carly laughed.

"How? I never told you."

"Girl, you told us you were meeting him, and came back smiling like an idiot and you kept touching your mouth. How much face did you guys suck geez." Jillian retorted.

"Oh my god." I laughed. "Okay one, he kissed me once, and two I just missed him."

"Missed his lips." Carly quietly said and I glared at her. She smiled big and wide trying to make it look fake.

"Just let us know if he hurts you again and I'll pound his ass." Jillian said, eyes glued on the road. I laughed and rolled my eyes. Oh how I have great sisters.
