Dean headed for the office, where an office lady handed him his schedule. "Your first period is English with Mr. Lester, his classroom is number 312. It's in the 300 hall, just ask around, it's pretty easy to find." The office lady told him, and Dean thanked her and took off for his first class. When he arrived, he saw the class was about half full. The teacher was a tall black haired man who wore a bright smile on his face. Dean sat down next to a red-haired girl who was eagerly tapping away on her phone.
"Hi, I'm Dean Winchester. I'm new here." Dean spoke, introducing himself to the girl. The girl turned to look at him as she put her phone down.
"I'm Charlie Bradbury, it's nice to meet you! Where are you from?" The girl chirped.
"Well I move around a lot, but I last lived in Ohio." Dean explained, and the girl nodded.
"Ah. Well, since you're new, I'm assuming you have no one to sit with at lunch, so you can sit with me and my friends."
"Really?" Dean asked, and the girl nodded eagerly. "Thank you so much Charlie. Do you mind if my brother also sits at your table?"
Charlie shook her head. "Not at all, the more the merrier."
Dean thanked her again, to which she just shook her head and said he didn't need to thank her. The bell soon rang and the teacher introduced himself.
"Hello everyone, I'm Mr. Lester. Welcome to English." The teacher spoke. He had a british accent, which Dean found interesting. He didn't know many people with british accents. "Since today is the first day of school, we're gonna be doing a simple introduction activity. I have some papers up here, and you will all spend five minutes walking around, trying to get other people to sign the paper. It will have questions such as 'who has a twin' or 'who has gone to another country'. There will be a prize for whoever gets the most signatures. Now, I need someone to pass these papers out."
A boy raised his hand, and the teacher called him forward to hand the papers out. "Alright, now go." Mr. Lester spoke as the final paper was handed out. Charlie immediately stood up and grabbed Dean's paper.
"Here, I'll sign one." She spoke, writing her name next to one of the questions. "There, now I'm gonna go get more signatures. I'm gonna win this thing."
"In your dreams Bradbury." A girl spoke, a look of confidence on her face.
"You wanna go, Anna?" Charlie retorted.
"It's a challenge." The girl, Anna, replied smugly, walking over to Dean. She took his paper and signed her name next to a question, then handed him her paper. "Here."
Dean signed his name next to one of the questions, and Anna took off to get more signatures.
Dean got a few more signatures on his paper before the timer went off. Once he sat down, Charlie eagerly showed off her paper. "I got signatures for all but 1 of the 30 questions!" She whispered excitedly. "That Anna is going down."
"Alright, who got more than 5?" The teacher asked. Almost the entire class, including Dean, raised their hands. "More than 10?" Half the class lifted their arms into the air. "How about more than 20?" There were fewer hands, yet Charlie still had her hand in the air, glaring at Anna, who also had her hand raised. "More than 25?" Only Charlie, Anna, and one other kid had their hands raised. "26?" Charlie and Anna were still glaring daggers at each other. "27?" Neither girl put their hand down. "28?" Only Charlie and Anna were left. "29?" Anna put her hand down, and Charlie shrieked in victory. "Charlie Bradbury is the winner. Your prize is whatever you want out of the candy jar."
"Haha suckers!" Charlie cried, running up to the candy jar. She grabbed a lollipop out of the jar and stuck it in her mouth, staring triumphantly at Anna, who was glaring at her.
