Chapter 24 ~ Aunt Amara

Castiel woke up on Saturday, not remembering what day it was. As he got dressed in his usual outfit, he heard chaos outside his room, and decided to investigate. Everyone was running frantically around the house, cleaning everything up. Everyone except Castiel and Lucifer, that is. Lucifer was lounging on the couch in the hallway, half-asleep and oblivious to the chaos going on around him. Castiel was confused as to the source of the chaos.

"Lucifer? What's going on?" Castiel questioned, looking around the busy house.

"Hmm? Oh, Aunt Amara's visiting today." Lucifer said with a yawn, his eyes still closed. Castiel immediately started panicking.

"Aunt Amara visits today?! I thought she had rescheduled to next weekend, not this weekend! Oh lord, I have to clean!" Castiel cried worriedly, running back into his room to tidy it up. Granted, his room was already quite clean, but when Aunt Amara visited, everything needed to be spotless. She was one to complain, after all. Cas barely glanced at his clock: 10:18 am. Aunt Amara always arrived precisely at 10:30 am.

Cas could hear all of his siblings (except Lucifer) scrambling around to get the house cleaned up. Gabriel was surprisingly picking up the dozens of candy and dessert wrappers from his bedroom floor (only after Chuck threatened to take his Netflix account away) and Balthazar hiding his collection of movies. Castiel began putting away his numerous bee-related and/or cat related objects that littered his room. Samandriel, who usually kept his room decently clean, only had to clean up the video games from his floor. The twins were cleaning up their room, and Raphael was cleaning up the first floor, as his room was always spotless.
As Cas frantically cleaned his room, he got a text from Dean.

'Hey Cas, I was hoping to maybe go to the park again? Charlie's over and is bugging me to go.'

'Can't Dean. My aunt is visiting this weekend.' Cas typed back, before setting his phone on the charger. At 10:29 am, he and his siblings (excluding Lucifer, who was asleep on the couch in the hallway of the second floor) were all lined up in the foyer, waiting for Amara. Sure enough, at 10:30 am exactly, a knock came at the door, and when it was opened, Amara stood there.

"Chuck, my dear little brother! It's so good to see you!" Amara said with a laugh, holding her arms out to hug Chuck. Amara's wife and her wife's son followed her into the house.

"Hello there Chuck." Amara's wife crowed, grinning as she walked in.

"Hello Rowena." Chuck said with a smile, trying to remain as calm, composed and cheerful as he could.

"Sorry we're late. Th' traffic was hoachin', we could barely drive through it." Rowena explained, tossing her red curls over her shoulder. Her son stood not too far behind her, obviously as upset with the visit as the Novak children were.

"Ah well, you can't control traffic can you? Come on, we have some movies that we can all watch." Chuck offered, showing Amara, Rowena and Crowley to the living room, while the Novak children followed orderly in a line behind their father.

As Chuck picked out some movies, a knock came at the door. Gabriel opened the door to see Michael standing there, dressed in a neat dress shirt and pants, with his hair combed neatly, as though he knew he had to be dressed nice. "Can I come in?" He questioned, peering over Gabriel's shoulder.

Gabriel looked over his shoulder, motioning to his father that Michael had arrived.

"Come on in Michael." Chuck called, and Gabriel stepped aside to let Michael inside. Michael walked inside and bid hello to Amara, Rowena, and Crowley.

"Michael! It's so good to see you!" Amara cried, waving to Michael.

"It's very good to see you too, Ms. Novak." Michael spoke in a soft yet perfectly clear voice. "Is Lucifer around?"

"He's asleep on the upstairs hallway couch, being a lazy fuck as always." Chuck replied, pointing a finger to the second floor.

Michael nodded. "Thanks." Michael then made his way up the stairs to the second floor. The Novaks then went back to the movie Chuck had put on, which was the first Harry Potter movie.

By 10:30 pm, the Novaks had completed the first four Harry Potter movies and were a little more than halfway through the fifth (after breaks to eat) when they all decided to finally go to sleep.

Amara and Rowena took the guest room on the third floor while Crowley insisted on sleeping on the couch in the hallway of the second floor rather than sleep on the floor of any of the Novak's siblings rooms.

Michael stayed over, crashing on Lucifer's bedroom floor, as he always did. All of the Novaks (And Michael) were asleep by midnight that night.

Here's Chapter 24! If I don't upload any chapters next week, it's because I'm either busy packing for Vidcon (Tuesday) or I'm busy at Vidcon (Thursday)
