"GABRIEL! GET THE FUCK OUT OF BED!" Lucifer screamed, banging his fists on Gabriel's bedroom door. It was exactly 7:15 in the morning, and school started at 8 am.
"Go the fuck away." Gabriel called tiredly. Lucifer slammed the door open to reveal Gabriel still laying under the blankets of his bed.
"Gabriel, we leave in ten minutes. If you're not ready by then we're leaving your ass behind." Lucifer hissed before slamming the door closed.
"Beware Luci, he's in a mood again." Cas whispered to both Samandriel and Balthazar, who nodded. As Lucifer stormed off downstairs, Cas, Samandriel and Balthazar watched warily. It was not wise to mess with Lucifer in the morning.
Cas, Samandriel and Balthazar eventually all went downstairs, joining Lucifer and Raphael in getting ready.
Everyone had already eaten breakfast and gotten dressed, everyone except Gabriel of course.
Exactly ten minutes later, Gabriel had managed to drag himself out of bed and gotten dressed and brushed his hair. Lucifer grabbed him by the back of his jacket and pulled him all the way out to the car, the others following timidly.
"Let go!" Gabriel shouted as Lucifer dragged him to his van.
"I'll let you go when you start getting your ass up by 7 every morning." Lucifer growled, dragging Gabriel into the van. Gabriel buckled himself in and waited for the others, who all climbed in a minute later.
Lucifer sped to school, driving at one mph above the speed limit. Cas listened to music, as did Samandriel. They were both listening to Owl City during the drive to school. Lucifer had devil devil by MILCK blasting on the car speaker as both Balthazar and Gabriel complained under their breath.
Once they arrived at school, Michael met Lucifer at the parking lot. Michael had driven his three siblings to school, including his twin sister Anna, who usually drove her and Michael's two younger siblings to school.
"Hey Lucifer." Anna spoke as she climbed out of Michael's car. "And hi Gabriel, Balthazar, Castiel and Samandriel. Where's Raphael?"
"He's driving Hannah and Hael to their school." Gabriel explained as he got out of the car.
Castiel climbed out of the car, but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Naomi, Michael's younger sister, step out of his car. Castiel hated Naomi, mainly because she had bullied him his entire freshman year. Cas ducked behind Gabriel, and Gabriel, spotting Naomi, hid Cas behind him, making sure Cas was out of sight.
"Hi Gabriel." Naomi spoke, a smile on her face.
Gabriel narrowed his eyes at Naomi. "Hello Naomi."
None of the Novak siblings really liked Naomi, especially after what she did to Cas. Michael knew this, and so he always made an effort to avoid Naomi from talking to any of the Novaks, especially Castiel.
"Naomi, don't you have to get to your class early today?" Michael questioned.
"Oh crap you're right! I gotta go!" Naomi cried, running off to her first period. Cas slowly walked out from behind Gabriel, watching Naomi run off. Cas heard her footsteps but still remained out of sight behind Gabriel, whom he was crouching behind.
"Sorry about her. She insisted on me driving her." Michael explained.
"I was perfectly fine with driving her and Joshua, but Naomi insisted Michael drive us all." Anna began, folding her arms. She too knew of the Novak's hatred of Naomi. Even Lucifer disliked Naomi.
"Anyways, I have to go to English. I'll see you all again soon!" Anna cried, waving as she ran to her English class.
"Bye guys." Joshua added before walking off to his first class. Joshua was the second youngest of Michael's siblings and rarely talked to anyone but his own father and Chuck Novak, whom Joshua had taken a liking to after visiting the Novak household a few times.
"Is Naomi completely gone?" Cas asked, looking over Gabriel's shoulder.
"Yeah, buddy, she's gone." Gabriel assured, patting Cas on the back. Gabriel would never admit it, but he definitely cared for Cas a lot more than he would ever say. Cas sighed in relief, genuinely happy that Naomi had left. He hated remembering all the awful things he had endured, alone, all due to her. Of course, the way his siblings figured out is by gossip in the cafeteria, rather than by Cas himself. But the Novak siblings luckily didn't give Cas a hard time about any of it.
"Ok. I'm gonna go to my first period." Cas began, clutching his backpack as he began walking towards the school. Gabriel, Balthazar, and Samandriel followed him, leaving Lucifer to talk with Michael as much as he pleased.
On the way to his first period, Gabriel ran into Sam, who was sitting alone in the cafeteria, eating breakfast at a table in the corner."Heya Sam, how are you?" Gabriel asked, sitting down next to Sam, who seemed surprised to see him.
"Fine." Sam replied, taking a bite out of an apple he had bought.
"I asked how you were, not how you looked." Gabriel spoke, and Sam's face flushed red.
"I'm doing okay." Sam mumbled, and Gabriel laughed before pulling out a health bar from his lunch box.
"Take this. My mom forced me to bring this to school, but I hate health bars, so why not give it to you?" Gabriel explained, handing the health bar to Sam, who took it.
"Thanks Gabriel." Sam spoke, a look of sincere gratitude on his face.
"You don't need to thank me. And seriously, call me Gabe."
So here's chapter 19! I couldn't think of a different title for this chapter so you get "Everyone hates Naomi". Also, I'm working on Chapter 21 rn so if I don't finish that by Thursday then Chapter 22 might be late. I'm busy with a comic series I've started (It has Supernatural in it but it's a crossover with another fandom I'm in) and I'm also gonna be busy with another comic series as well, plus I gotta update another story on this account and a story on my other account, so my workload's piling up. Anyways, enjoy this chapter!
