"SUMMER'S HERE!" Gabriel shrieked, jumping out of the car. He began to run to the sand of the beach, as Charlie sprinted behind him, two bags in tow. Sam sighed and shook his head as he grabbed three bags from the car, gazing out at the blue water of the beach.
The Novaks had decided to go all the way down to Florida for the first two weeks of summer, and they had even brought Sam and Dean with them. Charlie always went to Florida to visit family anyways, so she tagged along. Gabriel had driven himself, Sam and Charlie, while Dean drove himself and Cas. Lucifer was stuck driving himself, Michael, and Balthazar.
Sam walked leisurely to the sand, watching as Gabriel and Charlie dropped their stuff onto a patch of sand and ran to the water. Charlie was in a Harry Potter style one piece, Gabriel in golden trunks, and Sam in plain plaid trunks. Dean and Cas arrived at the beach four minutes after Gabriel, Sam, and Charlie. By then, Charlie and Gabriel were already swimming in the ocean, splashing about and screaming while Sam sat in the shade of an umbrella, applying sunscreen. As Dean and Cas walked down to the beach, Lucifer drove up and parked, and Balthazar pushed his way out of the car and down onto the sand.
"Those two are crazy." Dean remarked, glancing at Gabriel and Charlie, who were still splashing about and screaming.
"Well, we're friends with both of them so that makes us equally crazy." Sam replied, glancing at his older brother.
"You're dating one of them, that makes you crazier than me." Dean exclaimed, placing his bag down onto the sand. "Here, Cas, put sunscreen on my back."
Cas sighed and began applying sunscreen to Dean's back, while Sam finished putting on his own sunscreen. Sam ran down to the water and jumped in, Gabriel laughing as he held his arms out for his boyfriend to swim to him.
Sure enough, Sam swam out to Gabriel and sweeped him up into his arms, Charlie cackling as she watched Gabriel nearly fall backwards into the water. Gabriel latched onto Sam and kissed him on the cheek, then pulled Sam's face towards him and kissed him on the lips.
"Your lips taste like saltwater." Sam said, cringing slightly as Gabriel pulled away.
"We're in the ocean, what do you expect Sammy?" Gabriel replied, Charlie laughing in the background. Gabriel wrapped his fingers into Sam's hair, then pulled his face down and kissed him fiercely. The moment they pulled away, Charlie pushed Sam and caused both Sam and Gabriel to fall right into the water.
"Gotcha!" Charlie cackled, swimming away as Gabriel swam furiously after her. Sam just sighed and shook his head, a smile on his face. By then, Dean and Cas were in the water as well, and they both nearly got splashed as Charlie swam fervently away from Gabriel.
The five of them soon began to play a game of chicken, Charlie hopping onto Balthazar's shoulders as Michael and Lucifer joined them. Cas carried Dean, Sam carried Gabriel and Lucifer carried Michael. Lucifer and Michael actually ended up winning, and they cheered at their victory. Balthazar proceeded to punch Lucifer in the face.
They all stayed at the beach until 4 that afternoon, when they all went for ice cream and then headed back to their motel. And by the end of the two weeks, they would all say that it had been one of the best trips of the summer.
It's the end of the story!!! Ahhh I can't believe it! 6 months of writing and 48 chapters and it's finally over! I will be posting one (possibly two) epilogues for the story, so look out for those!
