Chapter 47 ~ Graduation

The first day of exam week came quicker than anyone was really prepared for. Sam had been studying the entire weekend, and Dean had finished his reviews at 9pm sunday night.

John was actually home for once, and he actually managed to get Dean and Sam a decent breakfast before they headed to school.
Meanwhile, at the Novak house, it was surprisingly quiet for a monday morning. Gabriel and Lucifer, both seniors, had gotten out of school two weeks prior and were both sleeping in. Because of the two biggest troublemakers being asleep, everyone was getting ready without conflict. Cas had been studying dutifully over the weekend and past week, and got dressed that morning without trouble. Balthazar was struggling to get his stuff together that morning, while Cas helped Samandriel get his reviews in his bag.

Because Lucifer was sleeping in that morning, Raphael had to drive everyone and drop them off at school. Luckily, Raphael was already up early that morning to go to his part-time job, so he was ready by the time Balthazar had finally gotten his shit together.

"Lucifer will be here after school to pick you guys up, now try not to fail your exams." Raphael monotoned as Cas, Balthazar and Samandriel climbed out of his car. As Raphael drove off, Balthazar ran to his first period while Cas and Samandriel leisurely walked to their classes.

Monday was first and second period exams, which for Dean was English and Math. Dean rushed into his English class, where he saw Charlie impatiently hitting her pencil against the desk. She cocked her head when she heard footsteps, and looked over to see Dean. She waved her hand as Dean sat down, and they turned their heads to focus on the board.

Thursday afternoon was the graduation ceremony for every senior. The Novak family gathered at the local fairgrounds for the graduation ceremony, and Sam and Dean had come with them; Sam to watch Gabriel graduate, and Dean to be with Cas. People were walking across the stage in alphabetical order, so Gabriel walked across before Lucifer did. When the ceremony was over, Sam ran to Gabriel and hugged him.

"Congrats on actually graduating!" Sam exclaimed, looking down at Gabriel, who was beaming. Michael ran over to the Novak family and fell into Lucifer's arms. Lucifer held Michael up and swiftly kissed him, as Balthazar groaned and Charlie (who had come along simply to videotape Dean and Cas hugging) snuck a picture. Gabriel reached on his tiptoes to kiss Sam, and Charlie snuck a picture of them too.

Lucifer was hosting his annual end of school party on Friday night, and thus Cas and Gabriel had fled to the Winchesters house. The neighborhood seemed to follow in their footsteps, and everyone had evacuated by the time the party started. Charlie, who was over at the Winchester's house, was eager to go to the party. Jo, Benny and Kevin were also going to the party and they had both met up at the Winchesters house.

"Alright, everyone's here except Bobby. Where's Bobby?" Dean questioned.

"His boyfriend insisted on driving him." Jo explained.

"Bobby has a boyfriend?!" Dean exclaimed, and even Sam was shocked.

"I was surprised too." Charlie spoke. "Jo and I found out when we went to Bobby's to study last week. Now, let's go to this party!"

The party seemed to go on forever, yet it also ended quicker than anyone was expecting. Cas was the designated driver, and he and Sam helped pile Dean and Gabriel into the impala, while Benny drove Charlie, Jo and Kevin home. When everyone got back to the Winchesters, Cas tucked Dean into his bed and Sam placed Gabriel on the floor of his room. Sam kissed Gabriel goodnight, and Cas kissed Dean goodnight, and soon, everyone was asleep.
