"Welp, I got science first. Gotta go." Gabriel spoke, glancing at his schedule.
"I have Sociology first." Cas spoke, and Gabriel winced. "Oh stop that Gabriel."
"I have math first, dammit." Lucifer groaned.
"Aw shit, I do too." Balthazar moaned.
"I have gym, great." Samandriel muttered as he took off to first period.
Cas heaved his bag over his shoulder and walked to Sociology. The teacher just had them do a get-to-know-your-classmates activity, like so many other teachers were doing. Cas met a few new people, and saw a few people he already knew. The class went by rather slowly, but eventually, the bell rang. Cas groaned when he realized his next class was math. Who decided to give anyone math during the first three periods of the day? He sighed, thankful that at least he didn't have it first period, like Lucifer and Balthazar.
He wondered what those two were doing in the same class anyways. It's not exactly that they didn't get along, they just loved to argue, which is precisely why they had both signed up for debate class. It seemed like out of all the Novak siblings who were in high school, Cas and Samandriel were the only ones who weren't in debate class. Cas just preferred not to fight or debate with others, and Samandriel was too shy to get into any sort of debate.
Cas soon arrived in his math class, and took note of an unfamiliar boy sitting a seat behind him. Cas had seen most of the kids in school, either in his classes or at his brothers parties. And he had definitely never seen this kid before. Cas just shrugged it off, and waited for his name to be called in roll. The teacher handed out a paper with the class rules on it, and spent the entire class going over said rules. Cas was glad to leave once the bell finally rang. He almost sprinted to his next class, which happened to be gym.
"Cassie!" A voice cried, and Cas turned only to see the voice belonged to none other than Gabriel.
"Will you please stop calling me that?" Cas groaned as Gabriel laughed.
"Oops, sorry bro. I forgot you hate that nickname."
"I highly doubt you've forgotten, as you call me it at least once a day."
Gabriel just laughed in response, and Cas knew there was no point in arguing with him. Gabriel loooooved to annoy Cas, as Cas was rather easy to annoy. Cas ignored Gabriel, and instead focused on the coach as he began to talk.
~~~~~
Gabriel ran off to his science class, which was his first period of the day. He didn't really mind science much, it was math he hated. Then again, most people hated math. The only person he knew to like math was his brother Raphael, but then again, he was Raphael.
Gabriel sat down in one of the front seats and waited for the teacher to arrive. The teacher eventually did arrive, and just read the class rules to them all, then called roll and left them to talk for the rest of class. Gabriel had to admit, while it was boring, the free time gave him the opportunity to think up some new pranks. During his freshman and sophomore years, he had gained a reputation as the legendary trickster. He could come up with the most genius pranks, and never get caught. Then again, his aunt was the principal, and she would actively try to keep him out of trouble at least half of the time. Instead, she would just tell his father whenever he did something, but Chuck was way too used to Gabriel's pranks to do much about it.
Gabriel, however, always waited until the third or fourth week to do any pranking. He never did any pranks during the first or second week, but that was always because he spent that time memorizing his schedule, to work the pranks around it. And each new year brought a new wave of freshmen, which this year included Gabriel's younger brother Samandriel. The new year would also bring in a couple new students from other states, or other schools. And since Lucifer and Balthazar always hosted a party at the end of the first week of school, it gave Gabriel the chance to see any new kids at the school.
Before Gabriel knew it, the bell for second period rang, and he ran off to debate class. He grinned wickedly when he saw both Lucifer and Balthazar enter the classroom enter the room at the same time. Lucifer sat at the desk next to Gabriel, saying "he didn't want to sit next to Balthazar".
Once the whole class was seated, the teacher stood up. He was a rather tall, thin man with a somewhat large head. "Welcome class, I'm Mr. Madej." The teacher announced. "Today we'll just be doing introductions, but with a twist. You'll be writing speeches about yourself to read aloud in class tomorrow."
Gabriel got to work writing his speech. The class went by surprisingly quickly, and surprisingly quiet. Once there was 10 minutes left, the teacher stopped all of them. "Now, we will spend this week and next week writing speeches about ourselves, or topics we like. On the first day of the third week, we will all pick a topic to debate on, and we will all choose one side to debate on, while the other debate class will choose the other side. We must then make our side as convincing as we can. We need to defeat the other debate teacher."
It was common knowledge that the two debate teachers, like Lucifer and Balthazar, loved to argue. They were friends alright, they just loved to argue. Everyone knew that both debate teachers always spent hours prepping their classes for the debates. One debate student from each class would always sneak in a phone to film the debates, and would always post the videos on the school site.
The bell for third period soon rang, and Gabriel packed up his things and went to his next class, gym. He was delighted to see Cas had the class too.
"Cassie!" Gabriel cried, and he saw Cas turn with a look of confusion, only for it to turn into irritation.
"Will you stop calling me that?" Cas asked, and Gabriel laughed.
"Oops, sorry bro. I forgot you hate that nickname." Gabriel laughed.
"I highly doubt you've forgotten," Cas replied, "as you call me it at least once a day."
Gabriel kept laughing, and Cas just sighed in frustration. Cas seemed to ignore Gabriel for the rest of the class, and Gabriel just huffed and listened to the coach. After the bell rang to signal the end of class, Gabriel rushed to his fourth period, history.
When he walked in, he saw a lone boy sitting in the very back of the class. Gabriel didn't recognize him, so he figured the boy was new, as he certainly didn't look like a freshman. Gabriel shrugged and sat a front desk, and waited for the class to start.
I'm giving you Chapter 3 already cuz why not :p
Also, I'm currently writing Chapter 6, but I'm waiting for someone to actually vote on this frickin' story before I update it often. I will say that Dean will meet Cas and Sam will meet Gabriel by Chapter 11 at least (this'll probably be a long story) so hopefully you can wait for that. Anyways, enjoy this chapter!
