One week passed, and now it was the day before Gabriel's birthday. He and Sam were going on yet another date, this time to an aquarium. Sam had insisted on seeing all the marine life, so he could write down notes about them. Meanwhile, Dean had invited Castiel over, to actually get to know him. Cas had just barely managed to wriggle out of his own house, as his family was busy preparing for Gabriel's birthday.

"Hello Dean." Cas spoke as Dean opened the door on Saturday morning.

"Castiel! Hey!" Dean replied, a smile on his face. "A few of my friends are already here, if you don't mind."

"No, I don't mind at all." Cas stated, shaking his head. "I might befriend them myself. I don't have many friends."

"Well, I've never had many friends." Dean said with a laugh. "Come on in."

Cas walked into the house, a bit wary. When he walked into the living room, he recognized Bobby and Kevin, who sat on the couch. He also recognized his ex-girlfriend Meg, along with two girls he didn't recognize, a blonde and a redhead.

"Castiel." Meg stated, glancing up at Castiel.

"Meg." Cas spoke, his voice slightly monotone.

"You two know each other?" Dean questioned.

"We dated for a week in Sophomore year." Meg answered nonchalantly.

"Yeah, and we haven't talked much since." Cas added.

"Oh, alright. Well, we were just about to watch some anime." Dean began, sitting down on one of the couches. "You wanna join?"

"Sure." Castiel replied. He sat next to Dean on the couch he was sitting on, and watched intently as the anime started.

When Sam and Gabriel were dropped off at the aquarium by Michael, they immediately went to get tickets to get in. As soon as they got in, Sam walked over to the sharks, while Gabriel walked behind him, watching Sam with a curious interest.

While Sam watched the sharks with a deep curiosity, Gabriel watched him with a smile. Sam seemed to be staring at the sharks intently, occasionally writing down notes about the sharks. Gabriel was perfectly content to just watch him from a distance.

As he did, he noticed all the little things about him. The way Sam looked up at the sharks in the tank, the way he seemed to stand the slightest bit bowlegged at times, the way his hair would bounce with the slightest of movements. It was all rather interesting, and it intrigued Gabriel.

He could tell, even after only 3 weeks of knowing him, that Sam was different from what he was used to. After the sharks, Sam moved on to the dolphins, then the fish. Gabriel followed him the entire way, content with the silence that laid between them. At around 3pm, they stopped for some lunch in the small food court. Gabriel bought Sam some sweet food, and Sam for once didn't protest. They laughed as they ate, and talked and talked and talked.

By 4 in the afternoon, Dean and Cas and the others had gotten through a full season of the anime they had chosen. Cas had fallen asleep, his head on the back of the couch. Dean was still sitting on the couch next to Cas, Cas sleeping barely inches from him. Only Jo, Benny and Cas had fallen asleep.

Kevin was watching with a surprising interest, while Charlie seemed even more engrossed in watching. Dean was watching with a nonchalant interest, and Meg seemed rather bored. Bobby also seemed a bit bored, but was watching nevertheless. Charlie was adamant on finishing the entire anime, and so they did.

Every time they finished an anime, Charlie would go right onto another. Dean was so enveloped in watching, he didn't even notice when Cas fell onto his shoulder. It took him a few minutes to realize Cas was now laying against his shoulder, but Dean didn't mind.

Sam returned home at 7 that night from his date with Gabriel at the aquarium, with an invitation to his party the next day. Sam retreated to his bedroom around 9 at night, while Charlie insisted on staying up to finish the anime they were on. Dean fell asleep at 10 pm, his head resting on Cas's.

At 11, Charlie was pulled out of her spell when she noticed Dean asleep on Cas, and she snuck a picture of them before she finally turned everything off. By then, she and Kevin were the only ones awake. She and Kevin pulled out some blankets and they then both fell asleep around midnight, after telling each other stories.

~~~~~
Dean woke up at 8 am, a blanket laying over him and his head on Cas's. He was the only one awake, as everyone else was still asleep. He glanced around the room warily, hoping no one else was awake. He very gingerly moved off the couch, laying Castiel's head on the couch pillow.
Sighing in relief, Dean made his way to the kitchen. He grabbed some antidepressants out of the cabinet, then poured himself a glass of water. As he downed the pills, he heard a small voice. He turned to see Cas standing a few feet away, his hair messy and unkempt, and tiredness evident in his features.
Cas yawned and ruffled his hair before looking up at Dean. "Dean? What are you taking?"
Dean sighed as he stowed the pills away. "Mirtazapine. It's a common antidepressant."
"Antidepressant?" Cas asked, tilting his head. "Why are you taking an antidepressant?"
"I was diagnosed with clinical depression and insomnia two years ago. I have to take medication every day." Dean explained. He closed the cabinet and looked back at Cas, who seemed a bit sorry he had asked. "It's fine, I don't mind explaining. Depression is common in my family."
Cas nodded. "Anxiety disorders are common in my family. I have social anxiety, my brother Samandriel also has social anxiety, and my brother Raphael has OCD."
"So both our families have a bit of imperfection in the eyes of society, huh?" Dean joked, and Cas smiled.
"Yeah, I guess that's true." Cas mused, smiling at Dean, a radiant smile that seemed to fill the room with warmth. Dean smiled back before grabbing a cereal box out of the cabinet and handing it to Cas.
"Now let's eat."
Dean and Cas are going to be interacting quite a bit in the next few chapters, and I'll try to write at least one of them having a crush on the other by chapter 25. Also, my brother's high school graduation is on Thursday so idk when on Thursday I'll upload the next chapter. Anyways, enjoy this new chapter. I do feel kinda odd making Sabriel get together way before Destiel, but that's just how things happened. And this story will probably be at least 50 chapters (if I haven't said that before)
