Cas woke up to a surprisingly quiet house. He soon found out that Gabriel had left to the Winchester's house to spend a day with Sam, while Lucifer had gone to the movies to see the Fantastic Beasts movie with Michael. Balthazar had gone off to the movies as well, but was going to see a different movie.

Cas got up and decided to take a shower. He gathered two towels and some clothes, then went into one of the bathrooms on the second floor. He turned the water on, and soon stepped into the shower after shedding his clothes. As he stood under the water, his mind began swirling with thoughts.

He was in love. He couldn't deny that. But he was in love with his best friend, and a guy at that. Now Cas didn't care about gender most times, but he did tend to fall for guys easier than any other gender. And now he was in love with a guy, who just so happened to be his best friend. Cas groaned and ran both hands through his hair, not knowing what to do.

He ultimately decided, however, to just try and confess. If he was rejected, so be it. He wouldn't mind staying friends if that's how things turned out. He feared he'd ruin their friendship by confessing, but he had to get it off his chest. Besides, if he got rejected, it'd be easier for his feelings to go away.

A few minutes later, Cas stepped out of the shower and dried off, got dressed, and brushed his hair. As he headed downstairs, he sent a text to Dean, asking Dean to meet him at his house to hang out.

A few minutes later, Cas got a text back. 'I'll be there at noon. My friend Charlie won't be over until noon and I don't wanna leave my brother alone.'

That left an hour before Dean would head over. Cas opened his computer and wrote in the meantime. He had been working on a draft for a story, and he needed to finish the rough draft. He'd do the rough draft, and then he'd rewrite the entire thing and edit the second draft. That was a tip his father had given him.
Cas took to writing his story. He had written thirteen chapters so far, and over fifty two-thousand words, which averaged four thousand words a chapter.

Cas had been writing since he was 5, and ever since he was 12, he wrote a chapter a day, to enhance his writing. Thus, his writing skills were impeccable. His current story was a rather intriguing one, where peoples hair changed color based on their emotions. His main character was trying to navigate high school without revealing their crush on the most popular kid in school.

Cas began typing away, his fingers flying across the keyboard.

Cas had also taken typing lessons everyday for an entire month, two months out of a year for four whole years to perfect his typing. Because of this, he could now type insanely fast, and it often amazed those around him. Cas opened a second document after writing a paragraph.

The second document was a document full of story notes he had written down, that he used to write the story with. Everytime he wrote a paragraph, he'd write a sentence in his notes.
Cas spent nearly an hour writing before he heard a knock at the door. He answered to see Dean standing at the door, his car parked on the side of the house, by the road.

"I'm here, a little early. Charlie got to my house a bit earlier than I expected her." Dean spoke, shrugging. "Anyways, are we gonna watch a movie or something? I brought Star Wars."

Cas shut the door behind Dean and shrugged. "I do have a TV in my room, so we can. Just, follow me. I don't think I've shown you my room yet."

Dean followed Cas up the stairs and to his room, which was in the corner. When they stepped in, Dean gasped in awe.

Cas's room was much larger than the average bedroom, and was apparently one of the three largest bedrooms in the house. He had a single bed with a tv, bean bag and desk with a computer. His wall was plastered with TV and show posters, of Harry Potter and Jurassic Park and even some Star Wars. His wall was painted a grayish-navy blue, and the light in the middle of the room made the walls look a lighter blue. There was a small shelf near Cas's bed that held a few items on it, mainly photographs. There was a photograph of the entire Novak family, a photograph of Cas and a few of his siblings, and then a photograph of a young girl.
