Chapter 8 ~ Party planning

Friday arrived quickly for the Winchesters. As soon as school was over, Sam and Dean rushed home. Charlie met them at their house, along with Benny, Kevin, Bobby and Meg. Bobby had also dragged Jo along. Jo had been a childhood friend of Sam and Dean's, and had become close to Bobby after Sam and Dean moved.

"Sam! Dean!" Jo cried, holding out her arms to hug the both of them.

"Jo!" Sam and Dean both cried, running to hug her. Jo squeezed the life out of both of them before facing them.

"It's so good to see both of you!" She exclaimed, a bright smile on her face. "So, you guys ready for the epic Novak party? I went to their party last year, it was killer."

"It was." Charlie agreed, nodding. "Anyways, it's 3:30 pm and the party starts in less than 6 hours. I saw we grab a bite to eat around 7, so we'll be fed before the party. Everyone knows the food there is either crap or drugged."

"They drug their food?" Sam exclaimed, worried.

"Of course not. Some kids who attend the party end up sticking drugs in at least half of the food there, which means you never know which food is good and which is bad. Luckily, the drugs aren't anything too bad, but they will make you experience symptoms similar to a level ten hangover the morning after. Plus, they'll make you do a lot of stupid things." Meg explained, shrugging. "Not to mention the drinks always get spiked. Word of advice, don't drink the punch."

"Noted." Dean spoke. "Anyways, my dad's not home so we can all just stay here until we go get food."

A few minutes after they all went inside, Adam came home. He said nothing to Sam, Dean or any of the others, and just retreated to his room.

"Who's that?" Charlie inquired.

"Our half brother Adam." Sam explained.

"Don't mind him. He doesn't talk much."

"Oh, okay." Charlie replied, shrugging it off.

"Anyways, I brought a movie to watch before the party."

"What movie?"

"The first pirates of the caribbean movie. My mom wouldn't let me bring any other movie." Charlie spoke, pulling out the movie. "It should be over by 6:15 pm, which leaves us time to maybe get dressed before the party."

"Do we need to get dressed up?" Sam questioned.

"No, not really. Everyone will be too drunk to care. I just wanted to change before we went, into something different." Charlie stated, before gesturing to her jacket and jeans. "I brought a change of clothes though, so I don't need to go back home. Also, someone needs to be the designated driver."

"I will." Sam spoke. "I prefer to stay away from alcohol."

"Sam, you only have your permit." Dean reminded.

"Oh, right. I get my license in May."

"I could be the designated driver." Benny suggested. "I'm not one for alcoholic beverages."

"Ok then, Benny's the designated driver." Charlie stated. "Should we all just come back here after the party?"

"Yeah, we could. It'll probably be just Adam home anyways; he's not one for parties." Dean remarked, shrugging.

"Perfect! Alright, lead me to your DVD player."

As soon as school ended, the Novaks (And Michael) all rushed home. As soon as they got home, Balthazar and Lucifer immediately started setting up stuff for the party. Balthazar was setting up decorations, while Lucifer sent Cas and Michael to get whatever snacks were still missing, along with bowls, plates, cups and utensils. Gabriel and Samandriel set up the music playlist along with Lucifer's input.

"Ok what types of cookies did Lucifer ask for?" Cas asked, looking at the list.

"Uh, chocolate chip, double fudge, snickerdoodle, sugar, oatmeal raisin, macadamia nut, peanut butter, and shortbread."

"Why the heck does he need so many different types of cookies?" Cas exclaimed.

"Luci takes his cookies seriously." Michael said, shrugging. "And we need to get each and every type he listed. Lucifer will kill us if we don't get every type."

"Alright, alright. He gave us two lists, so let's split up. I'll get the drinks, you get the foods."

Michael grabbed his list and walked off to another aisle, while Cas left to start on the foods. 30 minutes later, they both met back at the cash register. Michael had brought along a special credit card Lucifer gave him, one that Lucifer used every year just for parties.

The total came out to over a hundred dollars, and Michael used the credit card to pay for it. They then pulled their cart all the way to Michael's car, and they loaded all their purchases in the back before driving back to the Novak home.

"We're back!" Michael called as soon as he walked inside after opening the door with his foot, as he was carrying four bags on each arm. "Can someone help bring in the bags?"

"We're about to leave, but we can help." Chuck offered, running out to grab a few bags. As soon as he brought the bags in, he and Becky went out to their car and drove off to Chuck's sister's house.

Lucifer was inside, surveying everything and commenting on everything. Balthazar had finished decorating and now focused on setting out the food, along with Cas and Michael's help. They set half of the food on the island and the other half on the bar, while Lucifer began to scream at Gabriel about a song he had chosen for the playlist.

At 5:30 pm, all the food was set out and the playlist was done. Lucifer, who was insistent on everything being perfect, walked the house from top to bottom with Balthazar, checking for anything out of place.

At 6:30 pm, Cas, Michael, Gabriel and Samandriel all went out to buy and bring back food just for them while Lucifer and Balthazar quadruple-checked everything. They came back with pizza, and they all ate hastily. By 7:30 pm, everything had been checked 20 times over by Lucifer and Balthazar, and was deemed appropriate. Finally, the party was on.

Party is next chapter! Also, I edited the last couple chapters some. I only changed the spacing
I'll have the party chapter up by Monday or Tuesday, depending on how busy I end up being this weekend. Just know my exams are coming up and I won't be able to update a ton in about two weeks or so
