The week passed by much quicker than expected. For Gabriel, the week had been great, cuz he had managed to pull off an epic prank.
For Castiel and Balthazar, the week hadn't been so great, for they had been the victims of Gabriel's so-called epic prank.
First, Gabriel had put sticky notes all over and inside Castiel's locker and even his seat in his first period class. Secondly, he had mixed skittles, m&m's and reese's pieces into a bag and put it in Balthazar's lunchbox. And lastly, he had rigged Balthazar's diet coke bottle with plastic wrap holding a mentos, so that when Balthazar opened the bottle the mentos fell into the diet coke and the drink, well, practically exploded in his face.
Gabriel had spent the rest of the week hiding in his room with the door locked to escape Balthazar's wrath. And whenever Gabriel needed to eat, he'd simply sneak out of his bedroom window and run frantically to the nearest restaurant and/or convenience store while Balthazar chased him. Castiel just sighed in exasperation every time Gabriel jumped out of his window.
Yes, Cas was angry at Gabriel for pranking him, but it was so commonplace that it didn't really affect him much anymore. Plus, Cas was going to the park anyways, so he wouldn't have to see Gabriel for a few hours. Of course, that left his room vulnerable to pranking, but Gabriel was locked in his room and Balthazar was closely monitoring his window while Samandriel watched his door.
Michael had slept over again, crashing on Lucifer's bedroom floor. It was now 10 in the morning on Saturday, and Lucifer was still fast asleep, snoring in his bed with the covers strewn all over him, while Michael slept soundly on the floor.
Cas threw on his usual outfit, not bothering to brush his hair, leaving it messy as always. He had decided to walk to Dean's house, despite it being 9 miles away. However, 2 and a half miles in, Cas gave up, and had to text Dean to come pick him up.
"Don't you have a car?" Dean questioned as Cas climbed into the back seat next to Charlie, who was tapping away on her phone.
"No, only my brothers Lucifer and Raphael have cars. Plus, my father only gifts us cars on our eighteenth birthdays. I'm seventeen, so no car." Cas explained. "Plus, my dad makes us work for some of it. He wants us to raise at least $4,000 each for our own cars."
"Oh wow. Well, I'm glad you actually called, Sam and Charlie and I were just about to go out to the park." Dean remarked, starting up the car.
"Hey Cas? Do you by any chance know what Gabriel's been doing? He hasn't been texting much." Sam asked.
"Gabriel? He's locked himself up in his room to escape Balthazar's wrath. Gabriel pranked Balthazar and I, and Balthazar is still pissed at him." Cas replied, a look of boredom on his face. "I don't know why he wouldn't be texting you, though."
"Is Sam worried about his boyfriend, hmm?" Charlie teased, a mischievous look on her face. Sam's face went red and he spluttered, and Charlie just laughed. "I'm joking, I'm joking. Chill out."
Dean rolled his eyes as Charlie kept laughing at Sam's obvious embarrassment. They arrived at the park approximately 6 minutes later, Charlie teasing Sam the entire way. Once arriving at the park, Charlie ran to the nearest tree, scaling it with ease. Sam followed and looked up at Charlie in the tree, content with just watching her.
Dean walked around a little, and Cas went to the swings, surprisingly. Cas sat on one of the swings and just swung slowly, content with the peace and quiet. Dean eventually joined Cas on the swings, as he had nothing else to really do.
Charlie soon gathered a crowd of small children as she showed off while in the tree by swinging from the branches. Sam stood with the small children, mesmerizing a few of them with his height and tall stature. One of the kids raised her arms and cried "tree!", prompting a few of the children to start demanding to swing from Sam's arms like tree branches.
Charlie laughed as Sam reluctantly picked up a few of the kids and let them hang from his arms. Dean soon saw and started laughing, and even Cas smiled at the sight of Sam with three 4-7 year olds swinging from his arms. Charlie soon moved to an empty swing, wowing the children as she swung higher and higher.
Sam, still holding children on his arms, watched with a mix of worry and irritation on his face. Dean began to swing high, mesmerizing a few of the children as well. When Charlie moved to the playground, Dean followed, and Sam watched with bitter amusement as the two chased each other around. Cas watched with a look of happiness on his face as he saw the young children running after Charlie and Dean.
Cas soon pulled up a book on his phone and began reading, occasionally looking up to watch Dean chase Charlie from place to place.
The four of them spent most of the day at the park, until around 8 pm, when it started to get dark out.
Dean drove them to a local restaurant, where Cas and Charlie paid for the food. After dinner, they all returned to the Winchester's house, where Cas and Charlie decided to spend the night.
"Horror movie marathon!" Charlie exclaimed as soon as she found the movie collection.
"Charlie, it's 9 at night. We have to sleep." Sam pointed out, and Dean nodded.
"Sounds like someone's not up for the challenge, hmm?" Charlie challenged with a grin, holding up the first Scream movie. Dean narrowed his eyes, smirking.
"Oh, you're on." Dean hissed, and Sam and Cas both rolled their eyes in exasperation.
"Alright, first, some rules." Charlie spoke, opening the movie case. "Whoever backs out first is the loser. Whoever stays up the longest is the winner. You can't cover your face or go anywhere either, except during pauses in between movies."
"You're on." Dean cried as he sat down on the floor next to Charlie, a determined look on his face. Cas and Sam both rolled their eyes but sat down anyways, Sam next to Charlie and Cas next to Dean.
~~~~~
An hour into the second movie, Sam was fast asleep, but Cas, Charlie and Dean were all still awake. Charlie and Dean were adamantly watching the movie, their eyes glued to the screen.
Cas was watching intently, not even remotely scared by anything happening in the movie. An hour into the third movie, Dean was slowly falling asleep, but was trying his best to stay awake.
Cas was still fully awake, and so was Charlie. By the start of the fourth movie however, both Dean and Charlie were drifting off. By the end of the fourth movie, at nearly 4 in the morning,
Dean and Charlie had both fallen asleep, so Cas, in victory, took a photo of himself with the sleeping forms of Dean, Charlie and Sam in the background (to prove he was the winner) before he fell asleep as well, a little past 4 am.
This is a little later than I usually upload but I'm a bit busy today. My flight is tomorrow and I have a lot to do, including packing, get the shirts I bought and pick up my stuff I left at a friends house a few weeks back. Nevertheless, here's Chapter 25
