Since writing this I hit 1k and I'm super emotional rn!!! Thank you so much! I love everybody who takes the time to read my garbage. Xx

My headphones lay around my neck, I nestled one into my ear and pulled my beanie lower down my face. The autumn wind blew across the street and I shivered and wrapped my coat closer around my body.

The 1975 played into my right ear and the wind whistled through my left. I could see the tiny café right in front of me. I closed my eyes and imagined the pure bliss I'd find once inside.

A tiny bell chimed above the door as I entered and alerted everyone to my presence. I blushed, partly from the drastic change in temperature after going inside and partly because some people turned and looked at me.
Thankfully everyone returned to their conversations and cups of coffee, nobody paid attention to the flushed girl who had just entered and was already embarrassed.

Well, nobody but one.
A boy, about the same age as me, stared at me from across the room. His eyes seemed to burn holes through mine.

My cheeks heated up again and I quickly looked away, hoping he'd do the same, but when my gaze returned to his, he was still watching me intently.

I suddenly became aware that I hadn't moved since I entered.  I walked over to the counter. A young, pretty girl with no make up on smiled at me and I returned it genuinely.

"Hi, how can I help you?", she grinned.
"Umm", I peered at the menu and pushed my round glasses up my nose.
"Just a black coffee please?", I smiled back after a moment.
"Coming right up!"; she beamed and I had to respect her enthusiasm.

As I waited for the barista to make my coffee I took out my phone and switched the songs I was listening to.
Jack and Jack - closure came on and I smiled, thinking of a past relationship. We were still friends and luckily we had both moved swiftly on. I made a mental note to text him and ask about grabbing lunch some day.

I felt a presence beside me and turned, startled to find the boy who had been staring at me. Up close his eyes looked magical, the most beautiful greeny colour that is kind of indescribable.

"Hi", he said, I admired his social skills, knowing I could never just start a conversation with a stranger.
"Hey", I replied, pulling my headphone free from my ear and laying it to rest around my neck.

"I'm Reece", he introduces himself confidently and I make a note on his cute accent that definitely isn't from around here.

"Y/n", I reply with a small smile.
"You from around here?", he asks.
"Yeah just down the road", I tell him.

"Could you maybe help me find a shop?", he asks shyly, showing a different side than the one he introduced himself with.
"Sure. Let me just grab my coffee and I'll try my best to help"

"Thank you so much", he smiles gratefully.
The barista hands me my coffee and I thank him.
We leave the cafe and enter the street.
"So what shop are you looking for?", I ask Reece.
"Umm, it's a guitar shop, called Allure", he tells me.

I think for a minute.
"Okay well unfortunately I'm not familiar with that shop, but I do know these roads pretty well so we should find it soon enough", I smile at him.

"So you're a musician?", I ask him just to keep the conversation flowing.
"Yeah", he replies "it's pretty cool"
"Do you sing or just play guitar?"

"I sing", he assures me.
"Any songs released?", I tease, expecting a negative answer, but he surprises me.
"Actually yes", he laughs, "perfume, make up, fixed, friend of a friend, water, start over again and whoever he is"

"Wow no need to show off", I joke.
He laughs and I smile at the beautiful sound that fills my ears.

We take a turn and I hope we are going the right way, then it occurs to me that I wouldn't mind getting lost with Reece.
"Okay well I will have to listen to this music right now. I'm guessing it's on Spotify?", I question and he nods.

"Any suggestions on which song should be my first listen?"
"Search "new hope club fixed"", he tells me.

I study the ep that comes up 'welcome to the club'. The cover consists of Reece and two other boys and is filled with doodles.

I click on the song Reece told me to and a melody starts up in my ear.
"I'm a shipwreck waiting for you, you're the rock that stopped me going anywhere, anywhere", a gorgeous voice fills my ear.

"Is that you?", I ask but he laughs
"No that's George"

He takes my phone and skips to another voice
"That's me", he corrects.
I listen to his voice singing to me and I smile. He's amazing.

"Wow you're so talented", I compliment him.
"Thanks", he smiles. His upper lip curls back slightly, which is really cute.

We come to a road with two turns, one left and one right.
"Reece I have no idea where we are? Shall we chance it or search it on Google maps?", I confess.

"Lets chance it. If we get lost it'll give me more time to get to know you", he says sweetly.

"So y/n are you musical?", he asks turning the conversation back to me.

I eventually find myself completely comfortable with Reece and we talk about anything and everything for about an hour before we both admit defeat and he pulls out his iPhone to check where we are.

Turns out we weren't far from the shop and we walk a little more until we reach it.

The outside looks really cool, with guitars lining the windows.
Reece stares at them in awe, a true musician.

When I tell him to enjoy his shopping he turns to me
"Y/n"
"Yes?", I ask gently tucking a loose piece of hair behind my ear.
"Can I have your number before you go?", he asks.

"Of course", I smile, "but only if you promise to call me"

Anyone else just wanna go giVE REECE A MASSIVE HUG!?
I can't actually stand knowing he is ill and in pain and holy crap I WANNA PROTECT HIM FROM EVERYTHING BAD IN THE WORLD
Reece Jamie Bibby get well soon!!!!!!! We love you x
