Chapter 23

It was now a few months since I had last seen Nik. The captain would give me updates but other than that I was starting to become invisible I still got glares from Benny and her minions but I saw no harm from any of them. Nobody talks to me other than Hillary and the Captain it's getting frustrating for me especially with these hormones raging and my appetite flaring. So far my pregnancy is starting to become noticeable a small bump in my clothing is the indication.

Walking outside my door two agents stood, without the third it felt incomplete...

"Mrs Dellator our captain would like to show you around today," I nod trailing behind them. People opened their doors to get a peep of me in my get up. After the first few days of clothing anything Hillary bought me would end up in the trash since it was too girly, in the end she handed me boy jeans and flannelette shirts. It's comfortable especially for my sensitive boobs, which were growing larger by the days. Meeting up in the hall outside his office the Captain nods and I watch as the guards leave us and I begin to travel forward with him.

"What is your name?" I ask, I feel like he's more of a stranger in my head even though for many times this week I had dinner with him, I could see we were actually friends.

"That's classified," he said with his back straight.

"Fine...I'm going to call you whatever I want...Hulk, Giant, Lex Luther, Scissors..."

"Scissors?" he asked trying to hide the small smile at the edge of his lips.

"You know Dwayne Johnson, the rock...I've got the idea in my head that you're his friend scissors and the guard who wears those glasses can be your other mate: Paper," he laughed.

"My name is Bob," he whispered.

My eye widened before coming out in rapid pants, "Bob? Oh yeah so manly macho man!"

"You're really annoying," he said honestly, I didn't take offence.

"Have you ever thought of being a builder?" I ask bringing my hand cupping around thin air as I toss my wrist back and forth like I have a hammer in my grasp. Bob the builder...can we fix it? I chanted mentally with a small grin on my face.

He wipes a frustrated hand down his face, "This is why my name is confidential...you're the only person I have met that teases my very name." Usually people would look out their bedroom doors when I walked past but I couldn't see anyone.

"Well they're afraid of you, and if my husband is who you say he is I have nothing to worry about...where is everyone?" I ask my eyes dashing around the halls. It's like a scene from I am legend, the deserted hallways and silent creeks from various connecting halls.

"Train yard, annually we choose a sniper and make the kids run amok, last standing wins," I paused to look at Bob raising a brow, "Don't worry, the bullets are plastic and everyone wears a helmet and body gear to protect them," well that's relief.

"Sounds a bit like the Hunger Games," I laugh nervously as Bob enters a room that clearly says 'Personnel Only' taking a step forward I am quickly enveloped in the smell of...old socks dried up under the sun before being shoved under my nose. I cringe away in disgust.

"Where are we?" I said in horror as I look at my surroundings, there are clothes everywhere; laundry hanging off doorknobs and even shoes hanging on the ceiling lights.

I step away from what looked like a Pizza box -but is clearly made of more mould then actual cardboard- I sigh resting in a spot where didn't have maggots crawling around. There were no photos, as we walked in I expected something to jump out at me so I pulled a hand up to the necklace around my neck, the one that he said belongs to his sister, even after a year I treasured it.
