Another D&D child

so y'all remember Sequoia, right?

she isn't dead she's completely fine, I was actually going to play a session with her today but unfortunately one of our party members was unable to show up right at the last second.

so at that moment, there were only five people, one of which who wasn't in the original session, and another friend who was on a plane home arriving a few hours later. there was no way we could go on with our current session with such a small amount of people.

so what did we do?

a one shot that was meant to be short, but will likely become a whole other session (which I am COMPLETELY okay with).

anyways, enough context, here's my character Sohm!

Since Sequoia was such a soft and friendly character who wouldn't hurt a fly (yet was also both the party's tank and healer at the same time), I wanted to mix things up with Sohm. They're of the same alignment, but act extremely differently.

TLDR; Sequoia is the goodest of Chaotic Goods while Sohm is the Chaotic-est of Chaotic Goods.

Sohm is an eccentric character -- they love the art of insulting (even when insults are directed at them), tends to satirize many people (which lands them in hot water more often than not, but they don't care), and has a dream deep down of becoming famous -- both for their Pan Flute skills, and for being a pioneer of new creative ideas.

Yet they're also a complete hole sometimes. But not in a way that makes you ALWAYS want to punch them. It's more or less sarcasm, sass, and friendly jokes/insults instead of straight-up trash talk. It's all in good fun, you know?

Another fun thing I want to mention is a design trend that I want to include for all D&D characters I create -- that being braids. Sequoia has her hair in braided pigtails, and a couple chunks of Sohm's hair are braided. Of course, braids aren't limited to just hair -- some ideas of future braided designs could be a braided rope belt, sandals with braided straps, etc.

I have quite a bit more to say about Sohm, but I don't want to tell it yet (because I want to create some cool proper illustrations to accompany the story). But what I CAN say is how everything went down when I tried to describe how to pronounce Sohm.

Me: It's like soap, but with an M.

The following responses were something along the lines of this--

"Soapm?"
"Soamp..."
"Msoap??"
"SMOAP!!!"

das it

see y'all soon
