Twenty Two

~Eric's POV~

I'm fucking dead, I think to myself as Draco walked past me, then over to his daughter. I kept my eyes on him as he rubbed Cade's back, then he looked at me.

"How far along is she," Draco asked.

"Going on three weeks," I whispered.

Cade softly groaned, shivering gently. I walk over and place my uniform jacket over her shoulders and back.

"Thanks," Cade mumbled in her sleep.

"You're welcome, Baby," I whisper as I kiss her forehead.

Cade drifted off into a deeper sleep. She pulled the jacket around her shoulders and softly snored.

I felt Draco's eyes on my back. I bite my lip and turn to face him.

He had his arms across his chest, his eyes a stormy grey now. I sat down and gave Draco my full attention.

Before Draco said anything Cade mumbled, "It was consensual. Happened after Capture the Flag.".

Draco shut his mouth and watched me. I felt the back of my shirt soak with sweat.

"What are your future intentions with my daughter," Draco said.

"To protect her," I reply.

"What are your plans for after the baby," he asked.

I looked to Cade's sleeping form, watching her snore softly. Her beautiful whitish blonde hair was falling in her face. She had her arms wrapped around her middle in a protective manner. She looked a little paler, but I knew it was probably from stressing. She gave a soft kitten sneeze, then she settled down again.

I carefully get up and walk over to her, playing with her hair after I took it out of the messy bun. I watched Cade smile softly, then she slowly opened her eyes. I helped her stand, then she hugged her father, nervous.

"I'm not mad, baby. Your mother and I were eighteen when Aiden came. We were twenty eight when we had you and thirty eight when we had Brayden," Draco told his daughter, "We weren't even married until you came along.".

Cade listened as her dad continued, looking more and more sleepy.

I watched Draco play with Cade's hair, wanting to hug Cade. She looked at me, then she walked over to me.

I hugged her gently and kissed the top of her head, "I love you.".

"I love you too, Eric," Cade mumbled against my chest.

"What are your plans for after the baby," Draco asked again.

I kiss Cade's forehead and think again for a moment.

"I want to marry her.".
