I sat on the couch in Eric's apartment as Mom and Dad helped him move my stuff in from the house in Abnegation. Eric seemed happy and I could help but smile at him. I rub my small baby bump, then I carefully got up.
"I'm going out to check on Tori, Eryx and Styx at the Tattoo Shop," I tell Eric.
"Be safe," Eric and Dad call, then they started arguing over how to build a crib and nursery.
I roll my eyes and put on my tennis shoes and grab a baggy hoodie. I give my mom a hug before I walk out the door. I had yet to tell Aiden or Ophelia about what had happened, but I had told my little brother Brayden. I pull my hood up a little and start walking to the Tattoo Shop.
I began to think how Eryx, Styx, Tori and I had become best friends while I was still an initiate. I blushed and smiled at how the three of them did so well in a relationship. I get so lost in thought I don't hear Ophelia walking beside me until she sneezes.
"What do you want," I sigh, wrapping my arms over my midsection to hide my baby bump more.
"I can't try to get to know my sister in law," she asked.
"Keyword, try. I don't like you because you try to change Aiden too much," I say.
Ophelia stays silent for a moment.
"You're making him dye his hair black. He can't keep his hair shoulder length, which is how he likes it by the way. He has to cover up his forearm tattoos around you because you're too afraid your Candor family will disown you. And your pushing him into trying for a child when you know damn well he's not ready," I say.
"Race me," she said, blowing off my rant.
"Why would I want to race you," I ask.
"Because I've been watching you and you aren't getting enough exercise. You probably stay in bed all day since you're a leader," she said.
I sigh, then Ophelia and I take off running to the Pit. I keep up with her a bit then I fall back, stomach churning and chest hurting. I jog over to a trash can and begin to throw up.
I jump a little when I feel hands on my back.
"Hey, you okay," I heard Ophelia ask me.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just sick," I mumble as I continue to throw up.
I let Ophelia feel my forehead and blink softly. I watched her frown from the corner of my left eye, but I don't say anything.
"I'll walk you back to the dorm," she said softly.
"I don't sleep there anymore," I mumble, "I'm dating Eric and I live at his place.".
"Want me to walk you back there," Ophelia asked in concern.
"Please, Sissy," I sniffle, stomach and chest hurting still.
"Sweetie, what's wrong? You've never called me sissy nor have I seen you sniffle. Please be honest with me," Ophelia said.
"I'm pregnant with Eric's baby. Please don't tell Aiden. Mom and Dad already know. I'm scared he'll hate me.".
"Don't you worry, Sissy has your back," Ophelia says, wiping my mouth with her bandana she had around her neck.
I let Ophelia pull me close to her side and wrap her arms around me. We walked back to Eric's apartment and I shivered gently. Ophelia comforted me, even going as far as quietly praising and congratulating me for being pregnant.
Can I make a relationship with her work?
