Thirty

~Eric's POV~

I smiled at Cade as she laid back in her medbay bed. She was hiding our daughter and smiling softly. I watched them for a few moments before I closed my eyes and began to think of what was to come. Cade kissed our daughter's forehead as she watched her sleep.

I felt pride and happiness course through my body but I felt another emotion as well; Guilt. I felt guilty that I had to call Dove and Draco in. Guilty that Aiden found out the way he did.

I felt guilty because I felt like someone would find out Cade was divergent and they'd take her to Candor, then put her on trial and execute her. She was perfect in every way I could think of. She was kind, smart, brave and honest when she could be. She reminded me of me a little, but something kept nagging at the back of my mind.

Why would two Dauntless born leaders leave their faction for another? Why move to Abnegation? Was it because Draco and Dove were only eighteen when they had their first child? Was it some big secret Draco had and he didn't want anyone to know? Did they have a fourth child? Why did her parents seem calm when they found out Cade was pregnant?

"Eric, baby," Cade softly called, snapping me from my thoughts.

"Huh," I ask, confused.

"What do you want to name our little girl," she asked me, smiling.

Cade's beautiful amethyst eyes sparkled as she looked at me. I then noticed our daughter's eyes. Our daughter's left eye was blue and her right one was Cade's beautiful amethyst.

"I know that look," Cade said.

"Hm," I mused, kissing our daughter's forehead.

"You wanna name her Amethyst don't you," Cade asked.

"Yeah," I whispered, kissing Cade's forehead.

"Amethyst Dawn Coulter," Cade says happily.

"I love it, Baby Girl," I tell Cade.

Cade kissed Amethyst's forehead again and rubbed her cheek. I watch them and find myself smiling again as well as thinking about my future with Cade. The small diamond engagement ring lay against her chest on a lovely silver chain.

"How do you feel about being, Mrs. Coulter when your out of here," I ask Cade.

"I'm excited.".

I smile, then I lay with Cade in her medbay bed, holding her and Amethyst. Both of them yawn quietly, then they fall asleep.

My daughter is Dauntless Blood. Is my fiancée the same way?
